Supplies used: For my regular drawings I start with a black Sharpie fine point marker. I then use Bianyo brand markers to color them in or you can use whatever you feel most comfortable with. I’m also drawing on printer friendly paper to prevent ink bleeding.
For my sketch tutorials I experiment with various pencil brands but right now I’m happy using black Staedtler 2B-8B pencils on sketch paper. My go to is the 4B pencil.

Gathering the Right Drawing Materials
Are you looking for the perfect spooky activity to get you into the Halloween spirit? If so, look no further than learning how to draw Ghost Face®! This classic horror movie character is the perfect subject for a fun and easy drawing lesson. And best of all, you don’t need any fancy art supplies to get started. All you need is a pencil and a piece of paper.
Once you have your materials gathered, you’re ready to begin! Start by drawing a large oval shape in the center of your paper. This will be the head of your Ghost Face®. Then, add two smaller oval shapes below the first one to form the eyes. Next, draw a curved line across the top of the head to create the brow. Finally, add a small triangle shape for the nose and two curved lines for the mouth.
Now it’s time to add some details to your drawing. Start by giving Ghost Face® some hair. Draw a few curved lines coming down from the brow to create a fringe. Then, add some lines inside the oval shapes to create the pupils. Finally, add some teeth to the mouth using small V-shaped lines.
Once you’re happy with your drawing, it’s time to give Ghost Face® some color. You can use any colors you like, but we recommend using traditional Halloween colors like black, orange, and green. Use a black pencil or marker to fill in the eyes and the mouth. Then, use an orange or green pencil or marker to color in the hair.
Your Ghost Face® drawing is now complete! Hang it up on the fridge or give it to a friend to show off your spooky artwork.
Sketching the Basic Structure of the Ghost Face
It’s no secret that Halloween is one of the most popular holidays of the year. And what’s not to love? The costumes, the candy, the spooky decorations… it’s all so much fun! But if you’re like me, one of the best parts of Halloween is the opportunity to get creative and draw some really cool ghost faces!
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned artist, drawing ghost faces can be a lot of fun. And the best part is, they’re actually pretty easy to do! In this article, I’m going to show you how to draw a basic ghost face. So grab your pencil and paper, and let’s get started!
The first thing you need to do is sketch out the basic structure of the ghost face. Start by drawing a large oval for the head, and then add two small ovals for the eyes. Next, draw a curved line for the mouth, and two lines for the brows. Finally, add some details like the nose and the teeth. Once you have the basic structure down, you can start to add some shading and color.
For the shading, I like to use a light gray pencil. Start by adding some shadows around the eyes and mouth, and then shading in the entire face. You can also add some darker shadows to create a more sinister look.
As for the color, you can go with whatever you like! I usually like to keep things pretty simple and just use a white pencil. But you could also add some green or purple for a more eerie effect.
Once you’re finished shading and coloring, you can add some final details like wrinkles or scars. And that’s it! You’ve now learned how to draw a basic ghost face.
So go ahead and try it out for yourself. And if you want to get really creative, you can even try drawing a few different ghost faces. Who knows, you might just come up with the next big Halloween hit!
Adding Facial Features and Expressions
Are you looking for a way to add some extra spookiness to your Halloween drawings? If so, why not try adding a ghost face! In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to draw a ghost face, complete with facial features and expressions. Let’s get started!
First, start by drawing a basic oval shape for the ghost’s face. Next, add two small circles for the eyes. For the mouth, you can either draw a simple line or a more elaborate expression.
Now it’s time to add some facial features and expressions. For the eyes, you can add pupils and lashes. For the mouth, you can add teeth, a tongue, or even a few droplets of blood!
Finally, add some final details like whiskers, a nose, and some hair. You can also add some shading to give your ghost face more dimension.
And there you have it! Your very own ghost face, complete with facial features and expressions. We hope you had fun following along with this tutorial. Happy drawing!
Incorporating Haunting Details and Shadows
One of the most popular characters in horror movies is the ghost face. This masked killer has been the center of many nightmares and has been the source of much terror for moviegoers. If you’re looking to add a little bit of extra fright to your Halloween décor this year, why not try your hand at creating your own ghost face painting?
With a few simple supplies and some easy-to-follow instructions, you can create a hauntingly realistic ghost face that is sure to send a chill down the spine of anyone who sees it. Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
-A white face mask -A black Sharpie marker -A piece of paper -A pencil -A black eye shadow or face paint -A small paintbrush -A large paintbrush
Begin by sketching out a basic outline of a ghost face on your piece of paper. This will serve as a guide for you as you begin to paint your mask. Next, use your black Sharpie marker to draw in the details of the eyes, nose, and mouth. Once you’re satisfied with the way your ghost face looks, begin painting the mask with your white face paint.
Be sure to paint the entire mask, including the eyes, nose, and mouth. Once the paint is dry, it’s time to start adding in the shadows. Using your small paintbrush, apply a thin layer of black eye shadow or face paint around the edges of the eyes and mouth. You can also use this time to add any other details that you’d like, such as wrinkles or scars.
Finally, use your large paintbrush to apply a thin layer of black paint over the entire face. This will help to create a more haunting and realistic look. Allow the paint to dry completely before displaying your ghost face painting for all to see.
Enhancing the Drawing with Texture and Depth
One of the most popular subjects for Halloween drawings is the ghost. A simple Google search for “halloween ghost drawings” shows over eight million results! Despite their popularity, many of these drawings look quite similar. In this article, we’ll take a look at how to draw a ghost face that is both unique and interesting, by adding texture and depth.
When most people think of ghosts, they think of the traditional white sheet with two eye holes cut out. While this is certainly the most popular image of a ghost, it is by no means the only one. In fact, there are many different types of ghosts, each with their own unique appearance. Some are translucent, some are solid, some are wispy, and some are even made of fire! No matter what type of ghost you decide to draw, the first step is to sketch out the basic shape of the head.
Once you have the basic shape of the head, it’s time to start adding some details. The first thing you’ll want to do is to add some texture to the ghost’s face. This can be done with a simple pencil stroke, by cross hatching the entire face. You can also add some depth to the drawing by giving the ghost a three-dimensional appearance. To do this, simply draw a line down the center of the face, from the top of the head to the bottom of the chin. Then, on either side of this line, draw a series of curved lines, getting closer and closer together as they reach the bottom of the chin. These lines will give the impression that the ghost’s head is rounded, rather than flat.
Once you have the basic shape and texture of the ghost’s face down, you can start to add some more details. The first thing you’ll want to do is to add some eyes. While the traditional “eye holes” are certainly an option, you can also try drawing eyes that are actually visible. Simply draw two small circles somewhere on the ghost’s face, and then add a small pupil to each one. You can also add some eyebrows if you like, but be sure to keep them fairly simple.
The next step is to add a mouth. This can be as simple as a single line, or you can add a more complex mouth with teeth. If you decide to add teeth, be sure to keep them small and evenly spaced. You can also add a tongue, if you like, but be sure to keep it small and not too detailed.
The last step is to add some final details, such as a nose and some ears. The nose can be as simple as a small dot, or you can add a more complex nose by drawing a curved line. As for the ears, you can either draw them as simple lobes, or you can add some inner ear details.
Once you’ve added all of the details, you’re finished! Your ghost face is now complete, and ready to scare all of your friends!

Step by Step Ghost Drawing Instructions
Start by drawing a curved shape (like a upside down letter U). This will be the top part of the ghost’s head.
Draw hands – you can keep them simple, with drawing “U” shapes, or make them more detailed.
Let’s start working on the body. Start on the left side, drawing a curved line from the hand downwards.
Now move to the right side and draw another curved line, ending it above the first one.
Complete with the wiggly “tail”.
Now comes the face. If you want your ghost to look happy, draw “normal” eyes, and a “moon” shaped mouth. This way your ghost won’t look scary at all.
If you want a scary one, color the eyes all black and draw the “moon” shape with it’s end points turned downwards. You can even add a diagonal line on top of the eyes to make the ghost look angry. Scary isn’t it.
All done, you have learned how to draw a ghost!
