Ghost Case part 1
Hello everyone and welcome to Part 1 of our walkthrough for the “Ghost Case” a room escape game created by the Dark Dome. The Ghost Case is the fourth game in the series and, just like the previous games, the story is set in Hidden Town, which is filled with all kinds of mysteries. In this walkthrough, we will show you how to solve all the puzzles and finish the game. The story of the Ghost Case is a continuation of the story of the second game “The Girl in the Window” so I would strongly suggest you play “The Girl in the Window” before starting this story. I don’t want to reveal too much, but it might be a good idea to also play the third game in the series “Nowhere House” before jumping into the “Ghost Case” because there’s also a connection between these two stories.
NOTE : The first part of the walkthrough follows the story up to the point when you solve the “Pawn” puzzle and find the “Projector slides” and letter to the “Lian” (Murder House puzzles mostly cleared). The next step is to go back to the Police Station and take a look at the slides, and that’s where Part II begins.

NOTE : Some puzzles will CHANGE with each playthrough, but the logic behind solving the puzzles will always remain the SAME. For example, in one playthrough a code to open a safe could be 1234, and in another playthrough, the code could be 4321. However, you will always discover the numbers for the code at the same location and by using the same hints.
In the intro, we are reminded of murders that happened 20 years ago. In the second game “The Girl in the Window” we explored this event.
During this story, will be playing detective Ren Larsen who, while he was driving, looked in his rearview mirror, and saw a ghost of the murderer girl, calmly sitting in the backseat of his car. However, when he turned around to take a look, the backseat was empty.
Later that day, when he was in the office, the ghost of the murdered boy (our character from the second game) appeared behind him and threw down the box with crime files. One of the files dropped out of the box, and when the detective took a look at it, he saw that this is the file about the murders that happened 20 years ago. Ren felt that something was wrong because earlier he saw the ghost of the girl, and now the box with case files fell from the shelf, almost as if someone had pushed it down. But there was no one else in the room… The detective decided to reopen this old case and finally catch the person responsible for the murders.
Later that day, when he was in the office, the ghost of the murdered boy (our character from the second game) appeared behind him and threw down the box with crime files. One of the files dropped out of the box, and when the detective took a look at it, he saw that this is the file about the murders that happened 20 years ago. Ren felt that something was wrong because earlier he saw the ghost of the girl, and now the box with case files fell from the shelf, almost as if someone had pushed it down. But there was no one else in the room… The detective decided to reopen this old case and finally catch the person responsible for the murders.
Our story starts in the police station, and we’re in detective Ren’s office. Let’s see what we can find here. First, tap on the coffee cup to take a closer look at it, and you will see a sugar packet. Tap on it to pick it up, and “A sachet of sugar” will be added to your inventory.
Next, tap on the middle drawer on the right to take a closer look at it, and tap once more to open it. Inside you will find a map. Tap on it to pick it up.
Tap on the map in your inventory to select it.
This will bring up the map with two locations. One is the “Police Station” and the other one is “Murder House”. Well, it’s time to start our investigation. Tap on the “Murder House” on the map to travel to this location.
We are now inside the “Murderer House” and we have already been here during the second game “The Girl in the Window”. So, let’s start by going into the first room on the left.
Tap on the upper part of the cabinet to take a closer look, and tap again to open both cabinet doors.
Inside, we can find one of the photos that we also found while playing “The Girl in the Window”. Tap on the photo if you want to take a closer look at it. After that, tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back.
Ok, let’s take a closer look at the cables below the TV. In the previous game, we repaired the cables and played a videotape here.
Tap on the repaired cable to pick it up and “A Plug” will be added to your inventory.
Ok, tap on the arrow on the left to proceed into the next room.
In the middle drawer of the cabinet, you can find another photo. These photos are not relevant for solving the puzzles, they are just there to remind us of our playthrough of the previous game.
Well, that’s it for this room. Tap on the arrow on the left to proceed into the next room.
First, let’s tap on the table to take a closer look at it, and then tap on “A Broken bottle” to pick it up.
Ok, now let’s tap on the piece of broken furniture on our right to take a closer look at it.
Now, select “A Broken bottle” from the inventory and tap on the broken furniture to place it inside.
We can see that there are many holes inside the furniture, and these were made by the termites. We can use the sugar to lure the termites inside the bottle. So, tap on “A sachet of sugar” in your inventory to select it, then tap on the bottle to pour the sugar inside.
Ok, we know that our plan succeeded because we saw termites running into the bottle. Tap on the bottle to pick it up and a “broken bottle with termites inside” will be added to your inventory.
That’s it for this room. Tap on the arrow on the left to proceed into the next room.
Well, we are now inside the first room. The door in front of us is boarded up, and we could probably use the termites to unblock the door. Let’s try to do that. Select the “broken bottle with termites inside” from the inventory and then tap on the door.
The termites ate the boards, so we now have access to the door. Let’s see what’s on the other side. Tap on the door to open it, then tap again to proceed into the next room.
First, let’s tap on the base of the lamp to take a closer look.
We can see that the lamp is not plugged into the electrical outlet. So, select the “Plug” from the inventory and tap on the slot in the base of the lamp to plug it in.
Ok, now let’s tap on the lampshade to take a closer look at it.
We can see that all three light bulbs are missing, and we will need to find them in order to complete one of the puzzles, a bit further down the line. For now, just make a mental note of this, and let’s go back to the exploration.
Let’s continue. Tap on the arrow on the right to proceed into the next room.
Tap on the door on the left to open it, and you will see a ghostly figure. Tap on the door again to proceed into the next room.
In this room, we see a desk with two cabinets and a drawer. Both cabinets are locked, and we will find a way to unlock them, later. For now, tap on the drawer to open it, then tap on the items inside to pick it up. A “Glue” will be added to your inventory.
Before we leave this room, we should take note of two more important items because these will be important for the puzzles, later. The first one is the aquarium. The second one is the picture on the wall on the left, and here we can see a seed with roots and a man pointing to the down. These pictures (seed/plant and a man more specifically) will be important for one of the puzzles that we will have to solve, very soon. So, just keep in mind that one of the pictures is inside this room.
NOTE: The direction in which the man is pointing will vary from game to game because this is one of the randomized puzzles.
Ok, now let’s tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner of the screen to go back to the previous room.
In this room, we can see another one of the pictures that I mention, and here we have an apple tree, an apple, and a man is pointing to the right. Just memorize that there’s another picture inside this room before we continue. Tap on the door on the right to open it and tap again to proceed into the next room.
Tap on the desk to take a closer look at it, then tap on the book to pick it up. Also, on the desk, we have another picture, and here we can see a small plant, and a man is pointing to the left. Besides that, there’s also a locked drawer here, but solving the puzzle to open it will come much later.
Tap on the book that we just picked up to examine it. We can see that the book is locked by the combination of three symbols, and we will have to solve some puzzles in order to open it. Tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back.
Take note of the clock before we leave, because it will be important later on. Ok, that’s it for this room, at least for now. Tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back to the previous room.
Let’s continue. Tap on the arrow on the right to go into the next room.
Tap on the chest to take a closer look at it.
We can see that padlock is locked by a combination of four arrows. We can solve this puzzle by paying attention to the pictures that I mentioned earlier. To solve the puzzle, we have to memorize the directions in which the man on the picture is pointing and rotate the arrows on this puzzle to match them. The order of the pictures is determined (and thus the arrows) by the stages of the plant growth. So far, we have found three pictures, so that means that we still have to find one more picture in order to solve this puzzle, so let’s do that.

Before we proceed, just take note of the door on the left and stove on the right, because these items are a part of some puzzle that will come later.
For now, let’s tap on the arrow on the right to proceed into the next room.
Ok, in this room we found the last picture. Let’s tap on it to take a closer look.
By looking at the picture, we can see that the plant is here just a seed, so this has to be the first picture. The man is pointing up.
So, the first picture = Up. Memorize or write down this information.
After that, tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner of the screen to go back.
NOTE: As I already mentioned, the direction in which the man is pointing will vary from game to game, because this is one of the randomized puzzles.
There are a few more important items in this room. The chessboard on the left, and the cabinet on the right. Also, there’s another puzzle that includes the vase in front of us, and this puzzle we could partially solve right now, but I would like to finish the puzzle with the pictures before doing this one.
So, if you recall, we saw previously a picture with a seed and roots. This is certainly our second picture so let’s go there.
To get to this location, first go to rooms to the left.
Tap on the door on the left to proceed into the room.
Let’s tap on the picture to take a closer look.
In this picture, we can see that the seed grew roots, so this is the second picture. The man is pointing down.
So, the second picture = Down. Memorize or write down this information.
Tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back, once you’re done.
Tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back to the previous room.
The plant has fully grown here, so we will look at this picture a bit later. For now, let’s tap on the door on the right to go to the next room.
Here we can see a small plant, which means that this is the third picture. The man is pointing to the left.
So, the third picture = Left. Memorize or write down this information.
Tap on the “X” in the upper right corner to put down the picture.
Ok, let’s tap on the fourth and final picture to take a closer look.
Here we can see a fully grown tree, so this is obviously the fourth picture. The man is pointing to the right.
So, the fourth picture = right. Memorize or write down this information.
Tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back.
Ok, now let’s go back to the chest and unlock it. To get there, tap on the arrow on the right.
Tap on the chest to take a closer look.
Ok, looking from left to right we had,
First picture = Up
Second picture = Down
Third picture = Left
Fourth picture = Right
Tap on the arrows on the padlock to turn them in the correct direction.
NOTE : As I already mentioned, the man in the picture might be pointing in a different direction in your game, because this puzzle is randomized. So, coping with the solution from the image below might not work. However, you can solve the puzzle by following the steps in this guide.
Well, we managed to unlock the chest, so let’s tap on it to see what’s inside.
Tap on the “Light Bulb” to pick it up and it will be added to your inventory. If you recall, we needed three light bulbs for the lamp in the first room, so will go back there once we find more.
Ok, now tap on the piece of clothing on the right to take a closer look at it.
We can see the number “1” on the T-shirt. Let’s tap on the label on the T-shirt so that we can examine it more closely.
Here we can see some kind of symbol. This is one of the symbols that we need in order to unlock the book that we found in one of the rooms. We will need three symbols to unlock the book, and we can find the other two on the pieces of clothing inside this chest. The number 1 on the T-shirt represents the order of the symbols, so this is the first one.
So, the first symbol = A circle with a “tail” and arrow pointing up and right. Memorize or write down this information.
After that, tap on the “X” to put down the T-shirt.
Ok, now let’s take a look at the piece of clothing on our left.
Here, we can see two raised fingers, so the symbol on this shirt is the second one. Tap on the label to take a look at the symbol.
Here we can see a symbol that resembles a Cyrillic letter “Ђ”.
So, the second symbol = a Cyrillic letter “Ђ”. Memorize or write down this information.
After that, tap on the “X” to go back.
Let’s take a closer look at the third piece of clothing by tapping on it.
Here, we can see three flowers, which means that the third symbol is on this dress. Let’s tap on the label to take a look at the symbol.
Here we can see a symbol that resembles the number four with a “hook”.
So, the third symbol = number four with a “hook”. Memorize or write down this information.
Ok, let’s enter these symbols and unlock the book. First, tap on the book in your inventory to pick it up. After that, tap on symbols to start the interaction.
Ok, now let’s enter the symbols that we discovered by looking at the labels on clothing. So, (from top to down) we had,
First symbol = A circle with a “tail” and arrow pointing up and right
Second symbol = a cyrillic letter “Ђ”
Third symbol = number four with a “hook”.
Tap on the fields to enter these symbols.
NOTE : The symbols in your game might be different because this puzzle is randomized each time you start the game. However, you can solve this puzzle by using the same logic (the symbol on the T-shirt marked with number 1 is always the first one (top to bottom), the symbol on the shirt marked with two fingers is always the second one, and the symbols on the t-shirt with three flowers is always the third one).
Well, we entered the correct symbols and unlocked the book. Let’s open it and flip through a few pages. To open the book tap on the arrow in the lower right corner.
On the first page of the book, we can see a Teddy Bear. Let’s what’s on the other page by tapping on the arrow in the lower right corner of the book.
The arrows on this page will be helpful in one of the puzzles, but that will come a bit later. So, for now, let’s skip to the next page.
On the next page, we have clues for two puzzles. Let’s first check out the robot on the left. By looking at it, we can see three different types of shapes on it, circles, squares, and triangles. The shapes are arranged in three rows, some are black and some are white. We should now write down/memorize the position and type of the white shapes because we will need this information for the next puzzle.
So, we have
First row: White Circle (Left slot) and White Circle (Right slot)
Second Row: White Square (Middle slot)
Third Row: White Circle (Left slot)
NOTE : The position of the white slots might be different in your game because some of the puzzles are randomized. However, you can still solve this puzzle by applying the same logic.
Ok, after we memorize/write down this information, it’s time to put it to good use. So, tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to put down the “Puzzle Book”.
Ok, we can see that the shapes on the stove are arranged in the same manner as the shapes on the robot (3×3). So, let’s tap on the stove to take a closer look at it, and tap once more to start the interaction.
By tapping on the symbols on the stove we can change their color to white. The color of the symbols of the stove should match the color of the symbols on the robot that we saw in the “Puzzle Book”.
Let’s begin. Tap on the following symbols to change their color to white:
After we changed the color of the symbols to match the ones on the robot, the door automatically opened, and here we can find several items. Tap on “A Pencil” “A Piece of Vase” and “A piece of coal” to pick them and these items will be added to your inventory.
Well, I already mentioned that we could solve a part of the puzzle with the broken vase, and since we just found another piece, we might as well do that now. The room with the broken vase is the first one on the right.
Tap on the vase to take a closer look at it.
We can use the glue from the inventory to reassemble the vase. We will do this in several steps. Before we begin, tap on the “Glue” in your inventory to select it.
Take the largest piece on the right and drag it to the upper left part of the vase.
Take the “V” shaped piece of the vase from the left side and drag it to the lower left part of the vase.
Take the larger piece from the right and place it in the middle right part of the vase.
Take the largest remaining pieces on the left side and place it on the upper right part of the vase.
Take the square-like piece from the left and place it just below the piece that we glued in the previous step.
Take the larger piece from the left side and place it just below the piece that we glued in the previous step.
Take the last piece from the left side and place it into the bottom right portion of the vase.
Finally, take the last piece from the right side and place it into the empty space at the bottom of the vase.
Ok, now let’s add the piece that we found inside the stove. First, tap on the “Piece of Vase” to select it, then tap on the table to put it down.
Next, tap on the “Glue” in your inventory to select it, once more. After that, drag the piece of the vase and place it into the middle left side of the vase.
We are still missing a few pieces, but there’s nothing that we can do about that, right now. So, let’s tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back.
Ok, we’re finished with the vase, for now, so let’s take a closer look at the top drawer on the right.
As you can see, the drawer is locked by some combination that involves four squares, and the parts of them are black. We can find the solution for this puzzle inside our “Puzzle Book”. So tap on the “Puzzle Book” in your inventory to select it.
Tap on the arrow in the lower right corner to turn the page.
The next page is torn out. So, select the “Pencil” from the inventory and tap on the page below to shade this area.
We can now see four squares, and parts of them are black, just like the combination that we saw on the drawer. We should memorize/write down the shape of the black parts of the squares in order to unlock the drawer. Let’s begin. Looking from left to right we have,
First Square = Upper right half (diagonally) is black
Second Square = Left Half is black
Third Square = Black horizontal line in the middle
Fourth Square = Lower right half (diagonally) is black
Ok, after memorizing/writing down this information, tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to close the book.
Tap on the top drawer to start the interaction.
Let’s enter the correct combination. We had,
After entering the correct combination we heard the clicking sound, so we managed to unlock the drawer. Tap on the drawer to open it.
Inside the drawer, we will find three items, a “Purple Book”, a “Blue Token” and a “Card with a microchip”. Tap on these items to pick them up and they will be added to your inventory.
Tap on the book in your inventory to select it, then tap on the arrow on the lower right corner of the book to open it.
On the first page, we can see four fish, so this probably has something to do with the aquarium that we saw earlier. Tap several times on the arrow in the lower right corner to flip through the pages.
On the last page, we can see a clock hand, so this is probably connected to the wall clock that we saw earlier. For now, let’s tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to close the book.
Before we leave there are a few more things that we can do in this room. First, tap on the bottom drawer to open it.
Inside you will see another pawn. Tap on it to pick it up, and a “Green Token” will be added to your inventory.
Ok, now tap on the blue table on your left to take a closer look at it.
Select the “Green Token” and a “Blue Token” from the inventory (one by one) and tap on the table to leave them.
Well, that’s it for now. Tap on the arrow on the left to proceed into the next room.
Pay attention to the lampshades on the chandelier. After that, tap on the “Puzzle Book” in your inventory to open it.
Let’s tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to get back to the previous page.
Ok, now take a look at the shapes on the left page. Those shapes are very similar to the lampshades that we saw on the chandelier, and they’re arranged in the same pattern. So, on the chandelier, we have one lampshade in the middle that is lower than the other two. On the lamp that we saw previously, it’s the other way around, with one lampshade higher than the other two. So, the lower three shapes on the page on the left match the pattern of lampshades on the chandelier, while the upper three shapes match the pattern of lampshades on the lamp that we saw in the first room (when we removed the boards by using termites).
Ok, now we should pay attention to the position of the checkmarks. On the chandelier, only the left lampshade has a checkmark, so we should place the light bulb into the left lampshade and turn it on. Memorize/Write down this information (left lampshade). Let’s do that.
Tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to return the book to the inventory.
NOTE : The check marks for this puzzle will vary from game to game because this puzzle is randomized every time you start a new game. However, you can solve this puzzle by following the same logic.
Tap on the chandelier to take a closer look at it.
We can see that there are two light bulbs here, one in the left lampshade, and the other one in the right lampshade. Since we know that we need a light bulb in the left lampshade, let’s leave it there, and tap on the light bulb in the right lampshade to pick it up. We will now have two “Light Bulbs” in our inventory and we will need them for the other lamp.
Ok, now let’s tap on the cord to turn on the light.
Great, we completed the first part of the “Light Bulb” puzzle. Let’s proceed into the next room on the left.
Before we proceed toward the lamp, let’s make a quick detour because we also found a “card with microchip” and we saw a slot for this card on the cabinet in the left room. So, tap on the door on the left to proceed into this room.
Tap on the left cabinet door to take a closer look at it.
Select the “card with microchip” from the inventory and tap on the slot to unlock the cabinet door. After that, tap on the cabinet door to open it.
Inside, you will find a Teddy Bear. Tap on it to pick it up and a “cute teddy bear” will be added to your inventory.
Ok, let’s go back to the previous room.
Tap on the arrow on the left to proceed into the next room.
Well, we finally reached the lamp. Tap on the lampshade to take a closer look.
Tap on the “Puzzle Book” in your inventory to take another look at the checkmarks on the lampshades.
So, we have to check marks,
The lampshade on the Right
And Upper lampshade.
Memorize/write down this information, and tap one arrow in the lower-left corner to close the book.
Ok, let’s select the two “Light Bulbs” from the inventory (one by one) and insert them into the upper lampshade on the right and upper lampshade.
Almost done. Tap on the switch below the lampshades to turn on the light.
Well, as soon as we completed this puzzle and turned on the light, the ghost of a girl appeared in a mirror. Now, she is looking at us with the outstretched hand, and it seems like she wants us to give her something…
Well, the girl wants her teddy bear, and we already picked it up when we took a slight detour to use the magnetic card. So, tap on the “cute teddy bear” in your inventory to select it, and then tap on the girl to hand it over.
Ok, after we gave her the teddy bear, the girl disappeared, but instead of her, some numbers appeared in the mirror. Let’s write down/memorize these numbers because we will need them for the next puzzle. We have “257014”.
After that, let’s proceed to the room on the right.
NOTE : The numbers on the mirror might vary from game to game.
Well, there is a phone in this room, and we will use it to dial the number that we saw in the mirror. So, tap on the phone to take a closer look at it.
NOTE : It’s necessary to have a sound turned on in order to complete this puzzle, so do that before dialing the number.
Ok, dial the number that you saw in the mirror. For me, it was “257014”.
As soon as you dial the number, you will hear a short melody on the phone. It is very important to memorize the melody because we will need to play it in order to complete the next puzzle. Also, if you have to listen to the melody again you can do so by tapping on the arrow in the lower-left corner to exit the interaction from the phone. Once you do that, tap on the phone again to listen to the melody.
If you memorized the melody, tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to exit the phone interaction screen.
NOTE : This part of the game is very tricky because there are several melodies that you can hear on the phone (randomized like most other puzzles). So, there’s no way for me to help you with this one. You will just have to memorize the melody and figure out how to play it in the next puzzle.
Tap on the door on your right to proceed into the next room.
Tap on the table to take a closer look at it, then tap on the small lid to lift it up. You will reveal some kind of a small piano.
Tap on the piano to start the interaction.
Play the melody that you heard over the phone.
Looking from left to right at the piano keys, I had the following melody:

Here are some more tunes that I ran into while replaying the game. However, I am not 100% certain these tunes are correct. If you’re struggling, try them out, they might work for you.
FIRST OPTION: 3-5-2-3
SECOND OPTION: 5-1-4-2
THIRD OPTION: 1-6-3-2
NOTE : You can tap on the reset button on the right, before playing the tune.
After you play the correct melody, the drawer will automatically open, and you will see two items inside. Tap on them to pick them up and a “Metal clock hand” and another “piece of vase” will be added to your inventory.
Ok, this should be the last piece of the vase, so let’s assemble it. To get to the room with the vase, first tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back to the previous room, and then go two rooms to the right.
Before we assemble the vase, we should start looking for the owls. Tap on the window on the left to approach it, then tap again to open it. Here you will see another ghostly figure.
Tap to look outside the window, and you will see an owl high in the canopy of the tree on the left. Tap on the owl to take a closer look at it.
By tapping on the Settings button, you can see how many owls you have found so far.
Ok, let’s get back to the room and repair the vase. First, tap on the vase to take a closer look at it.
Select the “piece of vase” from your inventory and tap on the table to place it next to the vase.
Ok, let’s now select the “Glue” from the inventory. While the glue is selected, drag the piece of the vase and use it to fill the hole.
The spear on the vase was engulfed in bright light for a second, and it now looks like an object. Tap on the spear to pick it up and a “Minute hand” will be added to your inventory.
Before we leave, pay attention to the direction in which the spearman is pointing a spear. It’s up and to the right, and that should be 2 o’clock. Memorize/write down the position of the spear on the vase, because we will need it for the next puzzle.
Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back.
Well, we should now return to the room with a clock. To get there, go two rooms to the left, and after that go to the room on the right.
First, let’s take a closer look at the clock.
By looking at the clock, we can see that the second hand is already in place. But, we don’t know its proper position. So, tap on the “Purple Book” in your inventory to see the solution to this problem.
Ok, we can see that the hand is pointing up and to the left. This should be 11 o’clock. Memorize this information, and then tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to put down the book.
Tap on the second hand to rotate it until it points to 11 o’clock.
Well, we can now select the “Minute hand” from the inventory and tap on the clock to attach it.
After that, tap twice on the minute hand to rotate it. It should point up and to the right, at 2 o’clock position, just like the spearman on the vase.
Finally, select the “Metal clock hand” from the inventory and tap on the clock to attach it. This is actually hour hand.
After we attached the hour hand, we now have to determine its proper position. Tap on the “Puzzle Book” to open it and look for the solution.
Tap on the arrow in the lower-left to go back one page.
Here we can see an arrow that looks exactly like our hour hand, and it’s pointing downwards, at the 6 o’clock position. Memorize this, then tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to put down the book.
We should now tap on the hour hand to rotate it until it points to 6 o’clock.
NOTE : The position of the hour hand and the second hand will change from game to game because this is another randomized puzzle. However, you will always discover the correct position in the same place (“Puzzle Book” for the hour hand, and “Purple Book” for the second hand). I’m not sure, but it seems that the minute hand (that we found on the vase) is always in the same position, 2 o’clock.
As soon as we placed the hour hand in the correct position, the door on the left side of the clock opened, and the small toy will bring you the key. Tap on it to pick it up, and a “Red key” will be added to your inventory.
The other door should be also unlocked so let’s tap to open it and tap again to look inside.
Here, we found another owl. Tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back.
Tap on the cabinet on the right to take a closer look at it.
Tap on the “Red Key” in your inventory to select it, then tap on the keyhole to unlock the cabinet. After you hear the clicking sound, tap on the cabinet again to open it.
Inside the cabinet, you will see two items. Tap on them to pick them up and a “Fish Food” and a “Purple Token” will be added to your inventory.
Let’s feed the fish. First, tap on the aquarium to take a closer look at it. After that, tap on the “Fish Food” in your inventory to select it, then tap on the aquarium to feed the fish.
When we fed the fish, the water in the aquarium started to glow, and it seems that the fish suddenly changed.
Well, if you recall, we saw an image concerning four fish in the “Purple Book”. So, let’s take a look at it once more. Tap on the “Purple Book” to open it. After that, tap twice on the arrow in the lower-left corner of the book to get back to the first page.
Ok, here we can see that the fish are arranged by numbers from 1 to 4. Try to memorize the shape and order of the fish on this page, because we will have to match them with the fish in the aquarium. There are few easy ways to do this, and you only have to memorize the shape of the 3 fish. For example:
The fish number 2 is slim and easy to recognize.
The fish number 3 has a very long mouth and recognizable shape.
The fish number 1 is very “wide”. So, the last fish is fish number 4.
NOTE : The order of the fish in the book will change from game to game because this puzzle is also randomized.
Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to put down the book.
Before we proceed, let’s take a look at the fish in the aquarium and write down their color so that we can more easily identify them.
Fish Number 1 (very wide) is Blue.
Fish number 2 (slim) is Pink.
Fish number 3 (long mouth) is Green
Fish number 4 is Orange.
Ok, we should now look at the color patterns (symbols) on the fish and write them down.
Fish Number 1 (Blue) = Tri reversed triangles
Fish Number 2 (Pink) = Dots
Fish number 3 (Green) = vertical “wavy” lines
Fish number 4 (Orange) = Crescents (half moon)
Memorize, or better yet, write down this information because we will need it in order to solve the next puzzle.
We can use the markings on the fish to unlock the box in the first room (room with lamp). To get there, first tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to exit from this room. After that, go to the first room on the left.
Tap on the blue box, located on the table on the right, to start the interaction.
Ok, we can see that the box is locked by the mechanism that consists of four symbols, and in order to unlock it, we should enter the symbols that we saw on the fish in the aquarium. The symbols should be entered in the same order as the fish in the aquarium (first fish = first symbol) Let’s do that. Looking from left to right we had,
First fish = Tri reversed triangles
Second fish = Dots
Third fish = vertical “wavy” lines
Fourth fish = Crescents (half-moon)
NOTE : As I already mentioned, the order of the fish in the book will change from game to game, because this puzzle is also randomized. However, you can still solve this puzzle by following this walkthrough.
As soon as you enter the correct combination of symbols, you will hear the clicking sound and the box will automatically open. Tap on the pawn inside the box to pick it up and a “Red Token” will be added to your inventory.
Well, we now have two pawns (tokens) in our inventory, so we should now go to the room with the “token board”. This room is the first one on the left.
Tap on the blue table on the left to take a closer look at it.
Select both tokens (pawns) from the inventory (one by one) and tap on the table to place them.
As soon as we placed the fourth token, the ghost of the murdered boy appeared, and he rearranged the tokens. After that, he looked at our character and pointed to the board.
Well, now we can see that he placed the tokens on the board, and he also left us some kind of a wooden disc. Tap on the disc to pick it up and a “Round tile” will be added to your inventory.
Ok, before we continue I have to explain how the following puzzle works. We will place the “round tile” on the cabinet that is also located in this room. There are four slots for “round tiles” on the cabinet, three are already there, only one tile is missing (and we know have it).
Why is all that important? Well, the tiles have a square inside, and in all four corners of the square, there is one colored circle (red, blue, green, or purple – just like the pawns). The “round tiles” can be rotated, as you will see later, and we will need to match the color of the pawn on the board with the color of the circle inside the tile.
Long story short, we will have to memorize the position and the color of the pawns on the board in order to solve the puzzle. Also, we will look only look at the four squares in the corners of the board because they represent the “round tiles” on the cabinet.
If all of this sounds confusing, take a look at the image below this text.
Finally, let’s memorize/write down the position and the color of the pawns on the squares.
Upper Left Square = The Red pawn is in the upper right corner of the square
Upper Right Square = The Green pawn is in the lower right corner of the square
Lower Left Square = The Purple pawn is in the lower right corner of the square
Lower Right Square = The Blue pawn is in the upper left corner of the square
Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner of the screen to go back.
NOTE : The position of the pawns is randomized every time your start a new game, so the pawns in your game might be arranged differently. However, you can still solve this puzzle by following the same logic (just write down the position and color of the pawns in your game).
Ok, now tap on the boards on the cabinet on the right to take a closer look at them.
Tap on the “round tile” in your inventory to select it, then tap on the empty slot on the board to insert it.
Ok, now we have all four round tiles. Next, we should tap on the round tiles to rotate them. The color of the circles in the corner of the tiles should match the color of the pawns on the board. So, here you can see why I marked the squares on the board. For example, Upper Right Square on the boar = Upper Right round tile. The same is true for pawns and circles. For example Red pawn on the board = Red circle on the tile.
Finally, let’s tap to rotate the “round tiles” to the correct position. So we should rotate,
Upper left tile = Red circle should be in the upper right corner
Upper right tile = Green circle should be in the lower right corner
Lower right tile = Purple circle should be in the lower right corner
Lower left tile = Blue circle should be in the upper left corner
As soon as you rotate the tiles into the correct position, you will hear a clicking sound and the cabinet will open. Inside you will see two items. Tap on both of them to pick them up and “Projector slides” and letter to the “Lian”.

Are you a fan of mystery and gaming? Why not combine the two in this theme-packed joyride called Ghost Case? It has horrible murder incidents, a down-to-Earth detective, and a convincing case.
However, the game itself can very difficult, and the niche player base makes it tough to discern whether the game is actually worth playing or not.
So, in this Ghost Case Walkthrough, we will be taking an in-depth look at the entire story of the game.
So wear your detective hats, as we’re about to take a deep dive into Ghost Case, the complete walkthrough!
Ghost Case Walkthrough – Format Explainer
The game Ghose Case is divided into three sub-sections spanning over 44 minutes of gameplay.
Now, in order to make everything simple, we will attempt to follow the same step-by-step sequences as in the story.
Most of the in-game moves will be made by taps.
So even if it isn’t mentioned, consider performing actions that way.
Similarly, the game offers randomized riddles, so our version and yours might differ!
Now, if that’s gotten you riled up, then let’s begin!
Ghost Case Walkthrough
Here is the complete Walkthrough of Ghost Case:
The game begins by showcasing the plot:
There was a horrible incident 20 years ago. A modern detective named Ren Arsen received strange cues from the afterlife regarding the incident.
Then the scene pans over showing a dead girl showing up randomly in the rearview mirror of his car, and then disappearing.
A similar scene ensues once again when the detective is working, his file folder drops over randomly.
The intro then talks about how the soul of the dead victim is not at rest.
The detective then scans the box to find all the murder incidents that happened 20 years ago.
Ren feels a connected premonition that there’s something going on.
Perhaps, the souls of the dead victims are not at rest.
They want to be heard more than ever!
Understanding the cues, the detective opens those old files to once again solve the mystery of those murders and to help those spirits find the rest they deserve.
The start of this story happens in the police station – in the detective’s office where all the files are located.
You need to inspect the scenes to find hidden cues from the room.
- The first one is present near the coffee cup. Just tap on it to have the sugar packet revealed, and automatically stored in your inventory.
- Next, move through the scene to head to the middle drawer toward your desk in order to get a more in-depth look at its contents. It will open up upon tapping and will reveal an old map pointing toward somewhere.
Just like the sugar packet, the map will also automatically go into your inventory. Just tap it from there to open it.
There will be two locations on this map.
Unlike old-school realistic maps, this one contains information about all the locations you’ve surveyed so far.
Currently, it only contains the Police Station and the Murder House.
Now, just tap on the Murder House to head there, and try moving inside the first room to look for clues.
The windows on the cabinet seem to be locked.
Try tapping on them to open them and reveal the contents inside.
Unsurprisingly, there is a weird window photo placed inside.
You will need to tap on it to view it, and then head back by pressing the arrow in the left corner.
Aside from the cabinet, this room also contains a table with a tape recorder and a screen.
There are bound to be some clues in there!
Tap on the wires to have “A Plug” automatically added to your inventory.
Now, it’s time to proceed to the next room.
Repeat the cabinet process once again to find more photos.
Do note though that these photos are not directly related to the case, so you have the option of letting them be.
But if you’re looking to complete all the achievements as well, then it will be advisable to not miss a single one of them.
Now, it’s time to move toward the next room. Here, you are going to find a broken bottle inside the table.
Just tap on the table first, and then the bottle to drag it to your inventory as this can be a valuable clue!
There seems to be a lot of broken furniture here.
Tap on the broken bottle in your inventory, and place it inside the broken furniture to try to re-enact the state before the crime scene.
There seem to be 4 holes inside the furniture.
These seem to have been the by-product of termites.
Remember that sugar packet from before? Now, place it inside the broken bottle to lure all of the termites inside.
This can be done by:
- Tapping on “ A Sachet of Sugar ” from your inventory.
- Tapping the bottle on the broken furniture.
The termites will start rushing into the bottle.
Seems like our future-sightedness paid off!
We’re going to have a look at them later, so tap on this bottle in order to store it back in your inventory.
Now, it’s time to head to the next room.
Press the button at the bottom left once again to head back to the first room.
Now, our very first issue with this room was that the door in front was locked due to the patches of wood slabs being nailed on it.
Now, what makes wood go away? Termites! Fortunately, we happen to have an adequate amount of them.
Tap on the “Broken Bottle of Termites” from your inventory and then do a light tap on the wood on the door to sprinkle them in.
Unlike reality, these termites sure do work super fast!
Now that the door is opened, it’s time to head inside to reveal what occurred here.
This can be done by a simple tapping action.
Once you’re inside, take a look at the black spot at the base of the lamp.
The cable seems to have been pulled off and discarded somewhere.
Fortunately, we have just the solution!
Tap on the “Plug” from your inventory, then tap on the lamp in order to get it fixed.
If the automatic magic doesn’t happen, it might be because you not specifically tapping on the base.
Unfortunately, adding the bulb was not everything you need to get the lamp working. It’s been 20 years, there’s no bulb in the socket.
So how do we find them? For now, let’s just remember this and proceed further with our exploration.
It’s time to proceed to the next room.
Just tap on the door In front of you to head inside.
Now, there seem to be two doors, with the right one being closed and the left one having a ghostly figure protruding outwards.
Tap on the door with the figure to find a bedroom with a drawer and two cabinets.
The rest looks pretty stock standard as to what one will find in a murder scene.
Now, it’s time to look inside the drawers.
Tap on the middle drawer to open it, and reveal the Glue inside.
Tap on it once again to store it in your inventory and head to the room view to take a deep look at the aquarium and the left picture on the wall.
We would recommend you save a screenshot since these two hints will be very important in the upcoming sections of the game.
Now that the ghost room is done, head back, and take a deep look at the image of a man pointing at the apple on top of the telephone stand.
Once you’ve gotten that in your memory, head to the door on the right by tapping.
This is another room with a desk and an antique clock. Let’s begin by exploring the desk first.
We have one more picture and a locked drawer.
There’s a book on top of it that seems to be locked up.
There seem to be two symbols in the lock space, so naturally, it will require a combination of 3 numbers to unlock.
Store this book in your inventory, and proceed to leave this room.
Now that we’ve checked both rooms, tap the right arrow on your screen to move to the next room on the right.
There seems to be a chest of sorts with a padlock on it.
Unlike the book, there are four arrows here.
Now, if you happen to remember all the pictures, solving this should be a piece of cake.
Since the order of the pictures was random, your combination might vary.
Just remember the directions in which the hand in the picture was pointing.
Rotate the arrows in the padlock accordingly, and you’ve pretty much done it.
But wait, we’ve only found the pictures, and there are four arrows, so that must mean there’s some sort of hint for the order as well.
Can we go through the door on the left or the stove to the right? No. But are they related to something? Yes.
Head back to the last room we’ve found a picture in, and try to take a closer look.
Remember, the pictures all have an image of a plant that determines its slot in the arrow sequence.
For example, the picture containing a seed must mean that the direction specified in it must be the first of the bunch.
Do the same for the remaining images, but before getting out, take a deep note of the chessboard present on the left side along with the large cabinet that seemingly has another puzzle on it.
Now, the second puzzle should have the seed with the roots growing out of it.
Memorize the direction of the arrows here, and proceed to the third one.
This should have a small plant. Naturally, you need to memorize this direction as well.
In the final picture, you will be able to see a complete apple being sprouted.
You’ve gotten the sequence and the directions for all the arrows, so head back to that room, and dial the sequence in!
Since the chest is unlocked now, it’s time to take a look inside to see what we got.
If we remember correctly, we needed some light bulbs, so pick that one and store it in your inventory.
But that can’t be it, right? Correct. Tap on the shirt with the number 1 printed on it in purple and examine the inner tag.
There seems to be a symbol there.
If we recall correctly, our book still needs to open.
Since we got one symbol down, there are only two more to go. Just like the size of the plant, there’s order here as well, so the number 1 must mean this is the first symbol.
Remember it, and press X on your keyboard, or controller to put it down.
Now, pick up the shirt with a hand making the peace sign. The reason? It has two fingers, so it must be the second of the order. Repeat the process, and then remember the tag.
Now, move to the shirt with three flowers on it, and do the same once again.
Next, take the book out of your inventory, and enter the discovered symbols in order to unlock the book!
Let’s start reading the contents of the book, and see what we can find out.
The first page seems to be a hand-drawn picture of a teddy bear, stock stuff for a toddler.
Moving onto the next page, there seem to be some weird arrows.
Anything weird in this game is important information, remember these, or just take a screenshot if you don’t want to bother checking it again.
Now, proceed to the next page, and viola, there are some more clues to be found.
Looking at the robot to the left, it seems like there are three kinds of shapes:
Memorize this arrangement, as it will come in handy later on.
To not drag things any further, head back to the room with the stove, and tap on the symbols present on the stove.
A combination of circles, squares, and triangles, what a weird coincidence! or is it? Change the color of the symbols to match the ones present on that robot in the book to unlock the stove.
Inside, there seems to be a pencil, a vase, and some coal. Drag them all into your inventory in one big tapping action.
Remember the broken vase? Yeah, it’s time to go solve it!
Head back to the room, and use the glue present in your inventory to join the pieces together. Hmm, there seems to be a piece missing.
Would you like to take a closer look at the top of the right drawer? Seems to be another combination lock. It’s time to use the wisdom in the book once again to find the answers.
Keep flipping the pages, until you reach the torn page.
Use the pencil from your inventory to lightly shade the next page, revealing the contents on the torn-out page.
Memorize the square pattern, and fill it accordingly!
There seem to be three items in this drawer. A book, a token, and some sort of a smart card.
Now, sweep them in your inventory, and then open the purple book to find a bunch of fish drawn on one of its pages.
This is your clue to solving the antique clock from before.
Anyways, clock the book for now, and try to open the bottom drawer.
There seems to be a pawn inside. Pick it up, and head back to the blue table.
Leave your pieces or tokens on the board above the table, and move to the next room.
Look at the chandelier in the room, and open your unlocked book to the left side of the robot page to reveal a pattern of the lampshades.
Take a deep note of the checkmarks, and start inspecting the lampshades.
There seem to be two lightbulbs inside, with one housing empty.
We happen to have just the thing for that. But instead, let’s take one out, with the other matching the pattern in the book.
Remember the lamp in the first room? Yeah, it could use some help. Before heading there though, let’s take a detour to use the handy smart card we found.
Go to the room with the fish tank, and slide it in the slot of the right desk cabinet.
Tapping the door will reveal a teddy bear inside.
We’ll take a look into that later.
For now, go to the lamp so we can slot the two bulbs in, matching the pattern in the book.
Now, just turn the switch on for another cutscene to ensue.
The girl from the car seems to have appeared in the mirror, and she seems to be stretching her hands to something – as if she’s asking you to give what’s hers.
Oh, ya! the teddy bear! You have one in your inventory, give it to her and watch her disappear as some numbers pop up in the mirror.
Take a screenshot, or memorize these as they’re going to be necessary for the upcoming future.
Move to the room with the telephone, and dial those numbers.
The phone should be ringing a unique melody that we need to once again remember.
Now, move to the room to the right, and tap on the light-shaded lid on the desk.
There’s a piano inside. Now play the melody you just heard to perfection to unlock another secret.
Once the melody completes, the floor underneath will be unlocked – revealing an arrow dart and a vase piece.
Head back to assemble the dart, but before that, consider looking for the owls, as you’re going to be seeing one more ghostly figure.
It can be seen by opening the window in the room.
Just tap on it to have a clearer view.
Now, go back and repair the vase to see a design of a person throwing a spear in a certain direction.
Let’s memorize this as it’s probably going to be handy later on.
Now, change rooms to reach the clock, so we can get over with that puzzle as well.
Since the second hand is already in place, we only need to add the hour one.
Seems like we already have that in our inventory, so just use the tap-tap sequence to slot that in.
We still don’t know where these hands should be though.
Luckily, you can check the minute hand from the purple book, and the minute hand from the direction of the hand of the man in the Vase design.
Now attach the hour hand on the clock, and open the unlocked book in order to determine its position.
Remember the arrows page? Match its direction with the same shape in the arrows, and you’re good to go!
Since the clock is working now, a small humanoid statue will come out on the left side- presenting you with a key.
Naturally, save it in your inventory, and tap the right door to find another owl.
Now, it’s time to head to the room with the fish tank and open the right desk cabinet.
Insert the key you just found in the hole, and grab the fish food and the board piece.
Use the food in the fish tank to feed them.
They will change shapes to something we’ve seen before.
In the purple book, there was a page ordering these from 1 to 4, remember the order, and the color and patterns on the fish.
It’s going to be very integral moving onwards!
Next, head back to the room where the girl showed up with the number, and interact with the blue box near the lamp.
Use the fish ordering and the patterns to fill the lock on the box, and grab the pawn inside.
Counting the two on the board, we now have four pieces.
Perfect for solving one more riddle. Now, go to the room where we fixed the vase and take a look at the cabinet.
Then head to the board, and place the two tokens in your inventory on the board as well.
As soon as you do that, the ghost of the boy will show up re-arranging the tokens and leaving a circular disc.
The boy then looks at you and points toward the table.
Ignore it for now and try to memorize the color of the pawns along with their position if we want to clear this puzzle.
Go to the cabinet for now, and arrange the position and the color of the pawns accordingly.
The first tile in the cabinet seems to be lacking something circular; Just like the disc the boy left us. Pick that up and place it there.
Next, start rotating the tiles such that the color of the circles should match the color of the board.
You can tap on the four circles to rotate them until you achieve that.
Once unlocked, the cabinet will open, and reveal an envelope with the text “Lian”, and some projector slides.
Getting there, aren’t we?
With lots of clues in our pockets, it’s time to head back to the “Police Station”, and sort out everything.
Use your map to head back, and wait for your inventory to change.
From there, choose “Projector Slides”, and tap the white button on your projector.
The first image will show the dead boy gaming with his friend whereas the next slide will immediately lead us to both kids about to go to school.
Apparently, the detective knows that friend. It’s time to head to his home to see what’s up.
Just to be sure, cycle through the entire slide list in order to find one more owl. Be sure to go past the blank ones as well.
Your map has a new location now, head to Lian’s house.
Naturally, Lian does not want to talk about the incident, but fortunately, we happen to have a letter.
Just slide it in (using some tapping), and let the magic happen.
There’s another own on Lian’s mug by the way.
Seems like the murdered kids were very friendly, and they felt persecuted a while before their death.
They seem to have seen “shadows” and whatnot before their death, and their final days were then acting very strangely.
Continue cycling through the questions, to find out that the kids rarely left their house out of fear.
The letter said “It wasn’t your fault”, with the reason being Lian, Dan, and his sister visiting the cemetery due to Lian’s curiosity.
After this visit, Dan and his sister’s behavior changed drastically, as if they were afraid of something.
Time to get another clue!
Apparently, before the murder, Dan handed Lian a book that contained a card full of holes.
He has no clue, but you do! Take it from him, and store it in your inventory.
Remember the room with the stove where there was a locked room? Head back, and trace the hole pattern on the card to the lock in order to open it (roman numbers indicate the pressing order).
Just tap on it and head inside.
Considering there’s a lot more going on in this room, it’s time to start by opening the bottom-most brown drawer, and swooping the contents inside your inventory.
Move the clothes to the left side to reveal a box containing a note with a pattern inside.
The -+ mentions we should arrange the liquid bottles in ascending order (determined by the liquid amount).
There happen to be liquid bottles on top of the safe, this puzzle refers to that.
Just move the bottles according to the mentioned order to hear a click that’ll open up a hidden compartment in the room.
A red briefcase seems to be lying here, locked. Use the -+ note you just found to memorize the symbol for every bottle.
We arranged those bottles in order, right? use that order, along with the symbols in the chit to unlock the briefcase.
The symbols on the first 3 bottles (in the same order) go at the right lock, and the last three go in the left one.
There’s a wire within the unlocked briefcase.
Pick it up, and move your focus from the briefcase to the vent on the left side of the room.
Tap on it to do some inspection and find a key lying inside.
Our hands are too big to reach inside, but a wire, on the other hand, is a different story.
Use “A bent wire” from your inventory to get the key out.
We’re going to be using this “White Key” to unlock the upper drawer under the shelf.
Do some tap-taps to open it, and swoop the flashlight, and green book in your inventory.
Let’s start with the book first.
Open it up, and analyze the page with the pirate symbol.
The order seems to be matching the lock order on the safe above. Let’s leave it at that for now, and explore the vent first.
Since we got the hold of a flashlight, use it to peer deeper, and find another pattern.
Once again, commit this in your memory, and move on.
Coming to the sword, tap to unsheathe it to find the same pattern as the one you just saw. What could this mean?
The answer lies in the pirate symbol page of the book.
So far, we’ve checked the vent and the sword from the symbols.
Two more areas remaining, before we can open that pesky lock!
Feel free to dial the pattern in the safe according to what you saw (in the same order as the pictures in the book). Be sure to turn the dots black accordingly.
Now, we also happen to have a pirate poster in the room. Let’s have a look at that!
The pirate seems to be pointing in a direction, same with the compass.
These are the dots we need to change to black.
Since we’ve obtained another pattern, it’s time to head back to the safe and dial these in. Once done, just tap on the safe to open it – or so you thought.
Head back, and move the clothes to their original position.
See those sneakers hanging within those 4 mounts? Yeah, that’s the final pattern – with the presence of the sneakers determining the change in color.
We’re done this time (for good). Now, peer inside the safe to find a floppy disc(calls for a trip back) and a broken medallion.
Insert this floppy disc into the computer at your office, and start browsing the contents.
Within the text files, you’ll find the address of a person named Anna, that, according to the images, seems to be a close friend of the murdered siblings.
Time to head to her house, and investigate further!
Just like Dan, Anna is also not very adamant about spilling the beans.
Time for a little persuasion.
While she’s in the window, give the broken medallion to her.
Recognizing it, she’ll let you in like the earlier reluctance was a hoax!
Look towards the purple drink bottle on her right to find another owl.
Now, cycle through the questions to find the following info:
- The medallion was just a token of friendship between Anna and Mia.
- Anna happened to meet them on the murder day.
- Mia and Dan seemed to be very scared of something on the murder day.
- Seems like the siblings opened a tomb that freed something very dark from its shackles.
- Seems like Anna believes this to be the work of an evil spirit.
Anna then lends you a picture of the tomb they opened. Looks like we’re due for another trip.
Pack your belongings (figuratively), and tap on the map to go to the unlocked location!
The grave seems to belong to “Frederick Nolsen”. Head inside to discover more!
The room is pretty dark, but we happen to have a lantern on the left side.
However, there’s no way to light it up – until you discover the matches lying on the bottom shelf on the right side of the room.
Use those on the lantern, and then use “A lit lantern” to place it on top of the coffin.
There must be some clues inside, tap on the coffin to reveal the contents – Oh.. seems like it’s empty. No matter, let’s memorize a pictorial map of the room.
The shadows of the objects, the painting behind the wall – all signify something.
We can match the shadows with the objects in the painting.
For example, you need to move the cage to the image of the bird in the tree, and vice versa.
In the end, the following combinations will occur:
- The Pot goes in front of the Statue.
- The Skull goes in front of the dinosaur-like creatures
- The wire-like object matches the stars
- The Wizard gets the flower pot
- The bird gets the cage
Once you’re done arranging, a compartment will pop up on the left side, and the coffin will have some sort of puzzle in the center.
Let’s start with the object in the compartment. Pick the ring up, and leave the puzzle for now.
Time to go back to the police station, and piece the new info we found!
Tap the map to move back.
Seems like our detective character has opened up Frederic Nolsen’s file to do a little digging.
Seems like this guy was responsible for killing three people in weird rituals.
He was later executed through electrocution in an electric chair. However, he claimed he’ll return to life before hitting the bucket.
The story seems to be a century old. Creepy…
Anyways, let’s head to the store to find more information on the ring we just got.
Tap on the map to head to the new location.
During the drive, the detective starts to piece the contents together.
It all makes too much sense.
The dark magic, the victim’s causes of being scared, and the century-old stories, all piece together. But is that really it? Let’s find out more!
Before talking to Laura in the store, tape a peek at the items behind her to find another owl.
Then, just cycle through the questions to have the following info revealed:
- The ring was a possession of the Shamalu sect. The symbol on it was used for rituals – meaning, the owner knew Shamalu sect magic.
- It seems like a cemetery guardian (who went crazy) keeps drawing this symbol while being locked up in the madhouse.
After the questioning, Laura shows us an article on Lenny (the guardian).
Seems like he went crazy 5 years ago, and has been drawing the symbol, and repeating a single phrase ever-since.
Let’s move to the madhouse to talk to this Lenny guy and see what’s up.
But before that, complete your conversation to reveal more info about the ritual:
The rituals included the practitioner making 7 sacrifices. However, this practitioner has to die after making the first three sacrifices.
Next, someone needs to open up the practitioner’s grave.
Seems pretty on point with our current case.
Next, the practitioner has to make four more sacrifices – which will end up granting him/her eternal life. Considering Mia’s and Dan’s death, the practitioner must need two more sacrifices.
During that time, the practitioner’s spirit will have some control over their body.
Now, can we somehow undo this? The answer is yes!
So all we need to do is to lock the practitioner’s (Frederick in this case) spirit into a doll at the last sacrifice. However, this doll must be the property of the ritual performer.
Similarly, that ring’s symbol must be drawn upside-down in the final sacrifice.
Seems like Laura has been a great help in untangling these mysteries.
She also hands a Shamalu doll to you in case you wanted to stop the final ritual.
All of this is pretty fortunate, but it’s time to talk business again.
Let’s go meet Lenny, and see if we can get any more clues.
Use the map to go Hospital, where Lenny resides.
Time to ask the receptionist about Lenny. But before that, tap the blue book on the desk to reveal an owl.
You will encounter the following info after talking to her:
- Lenny has been in the asylum ever since Den and Mia opened the tomb.
- Seems like Lenny witnessed something traumatic. He’s constantly trying to communicate something through his drawings, but the hospital staff can’t make sense of it.
Within Lenny’s room, tap on the paper under the mattress to find another owl.
Then, let’s analyze all the pictures spread on the wall.
It seems like something came out of the tomb, and is stalking four people.
Considering Mia, and Dan have already been murdered, the other two could only be Anna and Lian. Doing the math, the number adds up!
Time to analyze the line-based images that look like a clue to another puzzle.
Memorize them, and then try to converse with Lenny.
Commit whatever he says to memory, and head to the graveyard.
On your way, you will get a call from the police station.
Upon picking it up, you’ll come to know that Lian and Anna have been taken somewhere, and their houses seem to be forcefully breached.
Now, in order to solve this mystery as soon as possible, you need to rush to the tomb to solve the symbols on the coffin.
Match them according to the pattern you saw in Lenny’s room.
Let’s start by getting the position of the dots right.
Simply drag them into position then decipher Lenny’s riddle in order to obtain the second part of the puzzle.
According to what he told you, arrange the tiles under the dots and you should be good to go!
A secret pathway will show itself once you’re done with the riddle, tap on it to head downstairs, and start analyzing.
Let’s leave it at that for now, move to the second room, and do the same until you reach the third room.
Try to keep as many of these objects in memory as possible since we’re going to be using them sooner or later.
With that said, head inside the dark cave in the third toom.
Once there, you’ll see four red stone pillars along with small animal statues underneath.
You need to move these based on their weight.
The lightest animal will go on the smallest pillar, and the heaviest animal will go on the largest one, and vice versa.
Solving this riddle will unlock the shelves in the room to reveal a pot on the left and a bottle + dead bone on the right.
Pick them up as they seem to belong to Frederick.
On the right side, tap on the pot in order to release a bee that will start making its own unique journey.
Follow it to the next room in order to see where it lands.
On your journey, keep track of the objects the bee lands on, and store them in your inventory, tap her whenever she does land on something to make her continue her journey.
Finally, she will land on the tree in the subsequent room in order to pollinate it.
This tree will instantly sprout flowers and will wither away leaving nothing but a mushroom in its place.
Pick it up, and store it in your inventory.
Now, it’s time to complete the picture on the wall at the back.
This is a simple left-right puzzle that just needs to be adjusted with constant trial and error.
Once solved, the compartment below will open up revealing the key inside.
Sweep it up, and head to the room with the snake jar.
On your right side, insert that key in the red boxes, and store the Wooden flute, Pestle, and Jar in your inventory. Remember the room with an actual snake?
Let’s go there and try the flute on it!
Upon doing so, the snake will go to sleep, leaving the stone statue behind it defenseless. Now, let’s move back to the previous room with the painting we just reassembled.
One of the statues seems to have an arm missing, and we have just the thing for it!
Do some tap-tap to get it fixed – which will reveal some symbols on the painting on the wall.
Commit their order and shapes to memory, and move back to the room with the snake.
See that puzzle under the shutter on the left?
Fill the symbols in order according to the picture from left to right, and grab the paper and the jar from inside. Seems like our inventory is filled to the brim.
Let’s solve some riddles to make more space.
Move to the room through the dark passage where four images of people were pointing in a different direction.
Tap on the bowl on the left side, and drop the flowers in one-by-one.
Starting with the blue flower, tap on the bowl to make blue dye.
Then, use the jar to store it away. Repeat the process with the red and yellow ones.
Now take a look at that paper form your inventory, and memorize the colors and the shapes on the symbol.
If you look at the right side of the room, some paintings of similar color patterns seem to be pointing somewhere.
Memorize those directions as well.
Move to the final room in the dark pathway with the circular dials, and patch the symbols with the directions.
Now, grab the Stone with the drawing of the Sun that will reveal itself from a hidden compartment, and place it on the wall painting where the sun rays seem to be shining down.
Grab the revealed key below the image, and pull the lever on the stone.
Memorize the faces of the animals in the follow-up cutscene, and head to the room with the sleeping snake.
Use that key on the blue chest, and store the hourglass inside your inventory!
Time to go to the room with the snake vase, and memorize its color.
Do the same for the room where we placed the animals according to their sizes (there is a vase on the bottom left), and then proceed to the room on the right.
There’s another vase on the bottom right, commit that to memory as well.
Since we now know the colors of all the animals in the cutscene, it’s time to actually head to the room, and use our dyes.
Tap on the dyes, and the water according to the colors and animals you just saw. Upon doing this, a compartment will open above, revealing the moon disc.
We have already slotted the sun disc in one of the rooms before, time to head back there.
Now, slot the moon disc in to reveal the content inside the compartment under the image.
Seems like we obtained a Crystal of Quartz. Better store that in your inventory until a use case pops up.
Speaking of which, move to the room with the two stone eagles, and tap the oddly welcoming entrance they seem to be guarding.
In the follow-up cutscene, we will see Lian and Anna being chained up with Frederick standing in between.
The ritual seems to be in full swing, and it’s up to you to break it.
Let’s start by reversing the symbol on the floor. You have that piece of coal from the siblings’ house. Then, it’s time to do something about the four stone pillars surrounding that symbol.
There’s a drawing on each of them, and we just happen to have matching items.
Place the items matching the shapes on the pillars, and let the eagle warriors reveal themselves on the left and right walls. But wait, there are some minor differences!
Commit these to memory, and head to the room behind to make changes.
The original stone warriors should match the depictions in the ritual room.
Once done, the game will show the Bad ending.
This ending will make both (now freed) characters run toward the detective to escape the tomb.
But now with Frederick Nolsen wide awake, you will need to make split-second decisions, or you will be murdered along with the other two.
If that happens, we will later see an article with the headline of you, along with Lian and Anna being murdered.
In order to ensure such a thing doesn’t happen, you need to select the Doll for rituals from your inventory and use the ring to combine them both right after fixing the statue.
Don’t head in immediately!
Once combined, the same cutscene will ensue, right to the point where you’re about to be murdered.
You need to tap on the combined doll in your inventory, and then tap on Frederick, to throw it on him.
This will cause the now-terrified Frederick to be entrapped in the doll forever.
The follow-up cutscene will show Detective Larsen visiting the graves of Dan and Mia to pay them a final visit as a fitting conclusion.
However, we still have the doll, so it seems we must make a visit back to where we got it from.
Luckily, Laura seems to be very dependable when it comes to guarding and storing dolls with evil spirits, so let’s leave the headache to her.
Time to solve another puzzle! Seems like the box laura is trying to store the doll in requires some puzzle-solving.
Keep tapping on the shapes by looking at the eyes that pop up at their side.
You basically need to create a route between one eye and the other.
Once Laura stores the doll inside, she transforms into a witch. Bad news alert! It seems we just gave the soul of one of the worst criminals in history to a witch!
Well… not our headache. At least for this game!
All in all, the game became pretty gut-clenching at the end, and one wrong move would’ve been the difference between you succeeding and failing.

Welcome to The Ghost Case Walkthrough & Guide, which helps you play through the game, and unlock all the ends and collections .
Continuing from the previous game “The Girl In The Window,” players take on the role of Detective Ren, who, after experiencing various supernatural events, re-investigates the Hidden City murder case from twenty years ago. Before setting off, open the drawer on the right side of the desk to obtain the map. Take the sugar packet from the table and click on the map in the inventory to go to the murder house from the previous game.
Upon entering the room, take the broken bottle from the small table and place it on the damaged cabinet on the right. Then pour the sugar into the broken bottle to lure out the termites inside the cabinet.
Take the bottle with termites and search the room to take the power cord behind the TV. Then sprinkle the collected termites on the wooden board to seal off the door panel.
Enter the room behind the white door and first take the chess piece from the drawer. Then observe the status of the seed growth in the painting on the wall and the direction of the fingers (which may vary depending on the situation). Next, open the window and find the first owl on the top left corner of the tree crown.
Note: There are nine hidden owls in the game, so keep an eye out for them.
Take the two light bulbs from the lampshade and examine the four arrows on the password lock of the box below. The clues for the password are found in four paintings placed around the house.
Open the two bedroom doors for further search. In the left bedroom, find the glue in the drawer. Remember the painting on the wall and then go to the right bedroom to obtain the yellow notebook from the table. Finally, observe the fourth painting and use the clues from the previous paintings to open the box next to the heater to obtain another light bulb.
Note: The direction of the fingers in the paintings may vary, so follow the actual situation.
Observe the patterns on the clothes inside the box (Right 1, Left 2, Middle 3) and the symbols on the collar tags (three symbols). Arrange the symbols in the order indicated to open the yellow notebook obtained earlier.
Examine the contents of the notebook and use the hints from the symbols on the robot’s body (note that the black and white positions may vary) to open the heater on the right side. Obtain the vase fragment, pencil, and coal.
Flip to the last page of the yellow notebook and use the pencil to reveal the hidden traces. Then, based on the instructions provided, open the drawer (pay attention to the black and white conversion) to find the purple notebook, chess piece, and magnetic card.
Go to the left bedroom and use the magnetic card to open the cabinet and retrieve the teddy bear. Then, outside, follow the instructions in the notebook to install the light bulbs (the top one is for the desk lamp, and the bottom one is for the pendant light). Attach the power cord to the desk lamp and turn it on (also turn on the pendant light). Finally, click on the mirror and hand the teddy bear to the ghost.
Observe the numbers appearing on the mirror and then click on the room’s phone to enter the digits. Listen to a piano melody. Next, go to the right bedroom and open the lid on the table. Replay the piano melody you heard (the four piano notes may vary, so find the right sequence) to open the drawer and obtain the vase fragment and metal hour hand.
Place the two fragments next to the broken vase (near the seed painting). Use glue to assemble the fragments and take the metal minute hand from the top. Then, click on the grandfather clock in the right bedroom and adjust the time (using the hour hand and minute hand) based on the notebook and the hint on the vase. Retrieve the red key.
Note: The minute hand and second hand should be fixed, while the hour hand will change randomly. Open the small window on the right side to find the second owl.
Use the key to open the cabinet on the desk in the left bedroom and obtain the third chess piece and a bottle of fish food. Pour the fish food into the fish tank and observe the hint appearing on the fish’s body. Combine it with the hints (in a specific order) from the purple notebook to obtain a four-symbol password.
Go outside and use the obtained password to open the box on the table next to the desk lamp. Retrieve the final chess piece. Arrange all the chess pieces on the table, and once the ghost of the main character from “The Girl In The Window” gives a hint, take the nearby round tile.
Note: The positions of the chess pieces on the board may vary, so adjust accordingly.
Place the round tile on the cabinet. First, according to the hints on the chessboard, move the colored dots corresponding to the chess pieces to their respective positions. Then, open the cabinet and take the envelope and projector slides. Return to the police station, insert the slides into the projector, and examine the photos to obtain a new location.
Note: Keep flipping through the slides to find the third owl.
Open the map and go to Lian’s house. Ring the doorbell to trigger a conversation. After being rejected, slide the envelope through the door crack. Enter the room and have a conversation with Lian to obtain new hints and a card.
Note: You can find the fourth owl on the cup in Lian’s hand.
Return to the murder house and align the card with the password lock on the red door. Observe the sequence of clicks (which will vary) and open the lock. Enter the room behind the door. Then, take the pliers from the drawer and the note from the box in the right closet.
Examine the hint on the note (- + indicates ascending order) and arrange the bottles on the cabinet according to the amount of liquid to open a hidden compartment. Use the symbols on the note to input the password for the suitcase, and retrieve a wire.
Note: Arrange the bottles in order and match them with the corresponding symbols on the note.
Use the pliers to bend the wire and retrieve the key from the ventilation duct. Use the key to open the drawer and obtain the green notebook and flashlight. Then, follow the instructions in the notebook (the order of the password and the position of the pirate’s hands) to open the safe on the cabinet. Retrieve the pendant and floppy disk.
Note: Use the flashlight to see the hint in the ventilation duct. Pay attention to the orientation of the compass for the pirate: red rising means top right, red falling means bottom right. Currently, you have encountered two sets of modified passwords. Adjust the others according to the actual situation.
Return to the police station and insert the floppy disk into the computer to examine its contents for new clues—Anna’s address. Close all the pop-ups and find the fifth owl on the desktop. Then, open the map and find Anna’s house. Talk to her and, once again, get rejected. Give her the pendant.
Follow Anna’s hint to a new scene—the cemetery. Take the lanterns and matches from both sides and light the empty coffin. Adjust the position of the shadows according to the content of the mural. Then, take the ring from the hidden compartment on the left side.
Return to the police station and plug in the new clue. Open the map and go to the store. Talk to Lea to gather information and obtain a doll. On the shelf behind her, you’ll find the sixth owl.
Go to the mental hospital and talk to the nurse for information. Then, enter the room of the mental patient. Examine the drawings on the wall (four simple drawings with a dot), which will be used later. Listen to the patient’s words for another hint: Wind-Sun-Frog-Wind.
Note: The seventh owl is on the paper under the mattress. This hint corresponds to the mechanism on the tomb in the cemetery, which will vary.
Come to the tomb chamber and complete two puzzles based on the clues seen in the mental patient’s room to open a hidden passage.
Underneath the secret passage, there are three areas. In room two, place the four statues on the corresponding pillars according to their weights to balance them all. Once completed, take the bone and empty bottle from the left compartment. Then, click on the right jar multiple times to reveal a bee.
Follow the bee to collect nectar throughout the room (there will be small flowers in the corners). Then, go to room one and take the three flowers that bloom on the tree (red, blue, yellow). Afterward, the tree trunk disappears and a mushroom appears. Take the mushroom and adjust the mural in the background to open a hidden compartment and retrieve a key.
Turn to the left and use the key to open the red box. Inside, you’ll find an empty bottle, a flute, and a pestle. Then, go to the entrance and use the flute to control the snake and put it in a dormant state. Take the hand of the statue.
Go to the mural and attach the statue’s hand to the broken part of the right statue. Observe the new hint on the mural and open the hidden compartment on the right side of the entrance to obtain an empty bottle and a note.
Go to the entrance of room two and place the three flowers in the mortar one by one. Use the pestle to grind them into powder and then transfer the powder into the empty bottle. Observe the graffiti on the right wall and combine it with the hint on the note to determine the positions of the four symbols.
In room one, complete the mechanism on the wall and obtain the Sunstone. Then, pull the lever that appears to activate the mechanism in room two. Go to room two and pour the powder into the corresponding fountains according to the colors of the snake, lion, and eagle on the jars in the corners of the room. This will yield the Moonstone.
Return to room one and place the two stones into the grooves on the wall to open the hidden compartment below. Retrieve the key and the quartz crystal. Use the key to open the blue box at the entrance and take the hourglass. Then, go to room three and place the collected items (hourglass, quartz crystal, mushroom, and bone) on the corresponding pillars. Rewrite the magic circle on the ground with charcoal and observe the hints that appear on the walls on both sides.
In room two, arrange the two statues at the entrance to match the mural on the wall in room three. This will rescue Lian and Anna. If you wait for a while, it will trigger a bad ending where the three of them are hung on the wall. To achieve the good ending, combine the doll and the ring and throw them onto the magic circle. Then, watch the cutscene and the game will end.
Note: For the true ending, there is one more box puzzle to complete, but it is relatively simple and not worth mentioning here.

Ghost Case is an Adventure and Single-player Puzzle video game developed by Dark Dome for Mobile Devices, such as Android and iOS. It takes place in a Hidden Town, where a murder had been conducted by someone about 20 years ago and the murderer was never caught. The story follows a detective named Ren Larsen, who recently receives a strange message from the Afterlife. After getting a message, the detective gets to understand the soul victim is still in search of peace. In short, the soul needs a person who can fight for her justice. Although the detective has bad feelings, he decides to help her in reopening a new case and solve the strange mystery. Collect all of your detective tools and coat before embarking on a journey. During the game, you have to interact with objects to investigate and try to find solutions for the completion of puzzles. Throughout the game, you may confront several mini-games that may seem easy to play, but they are hard to master. Therefore, never depend on your detective skills, as going out of the box many times help you get rid of the problem. It works similar to Samsara Room and offers the same gameplay to experience.
How to Play Ghost Case?
If you don’t know how to play Ghost Case, then we have compiled a guide to make you understand how the game works.
- During the game, you can interact with objects by merely tapping them.
- Use arrows to get into the room to find hidden objects. The item will be added to your inventory upon getting tapped.
- Furthermore, you can head to your inventory to select an item and then move to the place where you want to use it.

Ghost Case Story starts with an introduction that involves the detective and two other characters, who are souls and need the detective’s help to be heard. As the game starts, you, as the detective, find yourself standing ahead of a computer table where lots of stuff are kept to interact with. To solve the puzzle, see the images or read our Ghost Case Walkthrough Guide .
- Click on the table to collect a Coffee Sachet and open the table’s drawer to collect a Map .
- Open the map to see locations where you can go to investigate the case and there are only two locations, such as Police Station and Murder House .
We will start our journey after selecting “ House ” in Ghost Case. As you click on the house available on the map, the game takes you inside the house where you find a door is fully closed using different woods, and surrounding it, lots of old and rusted items are available. The game has featured arrows on your left and right side to help you move between rooms. The house has four different rooms and all are in mess. Although you don’t need to clean every room, you have to collect clues after interacting with objects and the room.
- In the first room, you must click on the table to discover a box where a photograph is available. Open the box to interact with the photo and keep the date and time in mind.
- Move to the left room where you discover a TV and a Cupboard. Tap the cupboard to open its doors and keep the date and time in mind.
- Click on the TV to collect its cable and keep it in your inventory.
- Head to the room available on your left side to discover a wardrobe. Open the drawer to discover a photo and keep the date in mind.
- Now, you should move to the fourth room where both sofa and table are available. Tap to the table and collect the broken bottle from there.
- Now, head to the main room, select the broken bottle from the inventory and pour it onto the main door.
- Open the door and get into another side of the house which is clean and fully furnished.
Other Side of the House
After going through the gate, you find yourself in a new environment where your objective is the same – find hidden objects and utilize them to solve the mystery. The opposite side of the house also has four rooms and each room is different and full of objects to interact with.
- Head to a room where a bed is available on the right side of the table. Tap the table to collect a book and click on the painting to see the finger position .
- Now, you should leave the room and head to a photograph hanging above the classic phone to see the finger’s direction .
- After that, find a briefcase between the fireplace and a door to set the arrows. You have to set the arrows as follows: Down, Up, Right, and Left to open the box.
- As the box gets opened, collect a bulb from there and investigate the clothes, their tags, and numbers written on them.
How to Unlock a Book in Ghost Case?
- Select the book from the inventory and the following shapes: 1 ( Square ), 2 ( Sand Clock ), and 3 ( Wind ).
- After unlocking the book, swap its pages to find more clues that are available on a page along with Robot. Keep the geometric shapes and their positions, as well as shapes on the left page in mind because you have to set the same shapes in the same position to unlock the fireplace.
- Head to the fireplace and tap on the particular shapes to unlock it for a pencil and a piece of the puzzle.
- Above the box, there is a holder with three bulbs. Collect the third and first bulbs and fix the new one on the second holder and turn it on.
- Find a room where a mirror is available on the left side of the door. There is a socket on the left side of the lamp where you need to connect the cable available in your inventory. Select the bulbs from the inventory and fix them on the first and second holders.
Note : The position of bulbs may be different when you try. Therefore, keep the diagram in mind when you try to solve the puzzle. The lower diagram highlights the bulb above the suitcase while the upper diagram highlights the bulb stand near the mirror.
As you fix the bulbs, something suspicious happens surrounding you. Soon, you will interact with the girl who appears in the mirror and asks to help her.
Ghost Case Piano Solution
- Next to that, you must reach the room where two doors are available surrounding a classic telephone and visit the left one, open the drawer to collect a tube and keep it in your inventory.
- Now, select the pencil from the inventory and draw something on the book already in your inventory to reveal specific images.
- Afterward, go to a room where a cupboard is available on the right side of the painting. Open its first drawer after setting the images you found on a notebook after using a pencil.
- Once the drawer gets opened, collect all objects available there, including a chess piece and a book.
- Leave the area to explore a room available on the left side to the classic phone. Select a card with a microchip from your inventory to open the drawer available there and collect a teddy bear.
- Head to the mirror and offer the teddy bear to the girl. After a few seconds, some numbers will appear in the mirror ( 610358 ).
- After getting the number, you should to the telephone room and dial the number (610358), and wait for a while to hear listen to the music.
- Go to the room on the right side of the phone and head to a device kept above the table. Open it and try to play the music by hitting the following keys ( 7 , 4 , 2 , 6 ).
- The drawer opens as you enter the correct keys to play the same music as you have heard after dialing numbers on phone. Collect a vase piece from there and add it to your inventory. Before leaving the drawer, don’t forget to collect an arrow from there.
How to Repair Vase?
- Go back to the room where a vase is available. Select the glue from the inventory and then start choosing vase pieces.
- Put all pieces with others and try to repair the vase at any cost to progress through the case. After repairing the vase, you should tap on an arrow to collect it and go to the room second room near the phone.
Ghost Case Clock Puzzle
- Above the table, there is a clock with missing needles. Select arrows from the inventory and fix them to the clock.
- Open the purple book to unravel the positions of all three needles following the shapes and set the time on the clock ( 02:10:40 ). It opens a small window wherefrom a puppet comes out holding a key.
- Collect the key from the puppet and open the second window where you may discover an owl.
- Leave the second room to enter the first one and head to the cupboard. Select the key from the inventory and open it to collect a chess piece and fish food.
- Click on the fish equilibrium after selecting the fish food and the game will take you close to the jar.
- Open the book to see the direction and type of the fish, and note their patterns that you need to unlock a box available near the lamp where you have set bulbs.
- The box opens as you set the patterns on the keys. Collect a chess piece from there and keep it in your inventory.
- Open the third drawer to collect a chess piece. Now, head to the table kept on the left side and keep all chess pieces from the inventory to the board.
Afterward, the game plays a wired sound to make you scared and a boy’s hand appears on the screen that seems terrible. Soon the boy disappears from the spot leaving you a clue.
- Collect the round tile from nearby the board and fix it on the cupboard to complete the design.
- Set all four tiles following the positions of pieces on the chessboard to open the cupboard for the following items: Letter and Projector Slides .
