In Tactica , the Phantom Thieves of Persona 5 are transported into a different dimension where a tyrannical enemy called the Legionnaires oppresses a Medieval European-inspired world. The party will ally with the leader of the Rebel Corps, Erina, to take the Legionnaires down and return home. Check out the trailer below.
Ryuji, Ann, Yusuke, Makoto, Futaba, and Haru will appear in Persona 5 Tactica. Each of them have a different weapon to offer different tactical opportunities in encounters.
For example, Ryuji uses a shotgun to injure enemies that are positioned together and his persona Captain Kidd deals out Shock damage. Alternatively, Ann has a submachine gun and her persona Carmen inflicts Burn damage to groups of enemies. Also, her Femme Fatale attack sees a bomb delivered to her foes’ feet even if they are in cover.
The trailer often showed Futaba supplying commentary on the battle as it played out. In Persona 5 Tactica, she is never on the field but supports the rest of the fighters with HP and SP restoration abilities from afar.
Makoto hits with her fists and her persona Johanna can knock enemies into new positions with a heavy straight line attack. Haru has a grenade launcher and her persona Milady uses an attack that hypnotises enemies to pull them together for an area of effect attack.
Finally, Yusuke’s assault rifle grants him range and his persona Goemon can either freeze enemies or produce decoys to confuse them.
Persona 5 Tactica will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series XS on November 17.
In other gaming news, Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is a recently revealed spinoff of the co-op shooter, tasking players with a mystery at the heart of the planet.

The 7 Best New Movies on Max in October 2023
From 'Scream' to 'Beetlejuice,' here are some recommendations to watch during spooky season.
Spooky season is here, with a bunch of Halloween picks arriving on Max (formerly HBO Max) this month. From the Scream franchise to Beetlejuice , there will be many titles to choose from. Although several films and TV shows are leaving the streaming platform this month , there will be other just as intriguing content landings on Max. Given that not all people enjoy jump scares or masked killers, this list will include a variety of films from different genres that will also pique the interest of viewers who want to stay away from the horror selection.
RELATED: What's New on Max in October 2023
Available on : October 1
Director: Wes Craven | Runtime: 1 h 51 min
Cast: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Skeet Ulrich
With Halloween right around the corner, it is time to revisit some horror classics. Max is prepping Scream fans for a binge-watch since the first three films of the slasher franchise will be arriving on the streaming platform on October 1st. For those who haven't seen Scream , it follows a teenage girl named Sydney Prescott ( Neve Campbell ), who is in constant fear ever since her mother was murdered and raped by a masked killer a year prior. When Sydney is home alone, she begins to receive mysterious calls and is constantly attacked by Ghostface, the mysterious identity responsible for her mother's death.
'If Beale Street Could Talk'
Director: Barry Jenkins | Runtime: 1 h 59 min
Cast: KiKi Layne, Stephan James, Regina King, Teyonah Parris
After Moonlight won Best Picture at the Oscars in 2016, Barry Jenkins returned in 2018 with a just as impactful film. Based on James Baldwin 's novel, If Beale Street Could Talk follows Tish ( KiKi Layne ) and Alonso ( Stephan James ), a young couple that grew up together in 70s Harlem and are now engaged with a baby on the way. As the two lovebirds are looking forward to their near future, Alonso is convicted for a crime he did not commit. This is a powerful story about a couple that perseveres despite the odds and is a worthwhile commentary on race and class.
Director: Tim Burton | Runtime: 1 h 32 min
Cast: Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder
Another Halloween classic, Beetlejuice is centered on Barbara ( Geena Davis ) and Adam Maitland ( Alec Baldwin ), a couple that died in a car accident and whose spirits continue to roam around their former home. As Deetzes moves into the Maitlands' household, the couple tries to scare them away but doesn't have any luck in doing so. The more they try to get the new family out of their property the more they attract Beetlejuice ( Michael Keaton ), a spirit that could pose a threat to both the dead and the living. There is a sequel to Beetlejuice in the works, and it is expected to include members of the OG cast and Wednesday 's Jenna Ortega .
'Blade Runner 2049'
Director: Denis Villeneuve | Runtime: 2 h 44 min
Cast: Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Dave Bautista
It is hard to make a sequel to an already beloved franchise. Before Denis Villeneuve directed Dune , he worked on Blade Runner 2049 . The film is a follow-up to the 1982 film, and it follows a new blade runner (Officer K played by Ryan Gosling ) for the Los Angeles Police Department as he uncovers a secret that could result in an all-out war between the humans and the replicants. To prevent a catastrophe from taking place, Officer K must locate a former blade runner who has been missing for 30 years. Building onto the OG's innovative sci-fi effects and splendid cinematography, Blade Runner 2049 is an example of a sequel done right.
Director: Adrian Lyne | Runtime: 1 h 35 min
Cast: Jennifer Beals, Michael Nouri, Lilia Skala, Sunny Johnson
Before delving into another Halloween pick, why not take a breather? Flashdance is the perfect feel-good dance film to watch in between scary content. It focuses on Alex Owens ( Jennifer Beals ), who spends her days and nights working as a welder at a steel mill and as a dancer at a bar. When Alex's boss at the bar becomes interested in her and her talent, the protagonist feels hopeful that with the right training and effort, she could be accepted to a prestigious dance company.
'The Phantom of the Opera'
Director: Joel Schumacher | Runtime: 2 h 23 min
Cast: Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum, Patrick Wilson, Miranda Richardson
Broadway enthusiasts, this suggestion is for you. The 2004 onscreen version of The Phantom of the Opera was critically acclaimed at the time of its release, and it continues to captivate audiences to this day. For those who are unfamiliar with the film's story, it is about an opera genius (Phantom played by Gerard Butler ) who falls in love with a young singer and is determined to make her his muse. Despite his interest in her, Christine Daae ( Emmy Rossum ) doesn't feel attracted to Phantom. She is in love with an arts benefactor instead. Unable to live without her, Phantom architects a plan to keep her within his reach.

Mob Vote: Crab
Cast your vote from October 13
Grab your spyglass and adjust your focus, because for the next three days we’re taking a look at the three new mobs that want to join Minecraft, starting with the crab !
The crab has one gigantic claw, which it likes to wave around as it scuttles through its home in the mangrove swamp. This giant claw is very special because if a player manages to find one, they can use it to place blocks further away! Sounds pretty cl-awesome to me. Just like its real-world counterparts, the crab is important to the mangrove swamp eco-system, which is why you can find it hiding between the vines of this mud- tastic biome. But take a tip from the video below – i f you’re going to play hide and seek with this potential new mob, then keep your eyes peeled!
Do you want the crab to be the next mob to scuttle into Minecraft? Then cast your vote! The mob vote opens at 1 pm EDT October 1 3 , and closes at 1:15 pm EDT on October 15. The winner will then be announced during Minecraft Live , which starts at 1 pm EDT on October 15!

Phantom Blade Zero, a Striking Samurai Soulslike, Revealed During PlayStation Showcase
Stylish sword-based combat and traversal..
During today's PlayStation Showcase , Sony revealed Phantom Blade Zero, a third-person action RPG headed to PlayStation 5.
Made by S-Game, Phantom Blade Zero features fast-paced, third-person sword-based combat. The game seems to rely heavily on a samurai theme, emphasizing combat and traversal in a dark and rainy-looking world.
In a PlayStation Blog post , S-Game Founder and CEO Soulframe Liang revealed that the game takes place in a semi-open world that is "bleak and punishing, a constant reminder to never let your guard down." He also described the game's style as "Kung-Fu Punk" and discussed the game's plot.
"In Phantom Blade Zero, you play as Soul, an elite assassin serving an elusive but powerful organization known simply as 'The Order,' " the post reads. "Soul is framed for the murder of The Order’s patriarch, gravely injured in the ensuing manhunt, and, though his life is saved by a mystic healer, the makeshift cure will only last for 66 days. Now, he must fight against powerful foes and inhuman monstrosities, all while seeking out the mastermind behind it all before his time runs out."
Liang also revealed that Phantom Blade Zero is based on Rainblood: Town of Death, their 2010 indie game that led to the development of the Phantom Blade franchise, which was only available in China. Liang called Phantom Blade Zero "the spiritual rebirth of the original Rainblood and the game we always wanted to make."
Phantom Blade Zero was not given a release date or window.

Critic Reviews for The Phantom
Audience reviews for the phantom.
Billy Zane is The Phantom in this campy and lighthearted superhero film. Based on a comic serial, a vigilante in the African jungle known as The Phantom tracks a group of mercenaries back to New York and learns of a tycoon's plot to reunite three magic skulls to gain ultimate power. Co-starring Kristy Swanson, Treat Williams, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, the cast is actually pretty impressive and does a good job at emulating the broad acting style of the old movie serials from the 30s & 40s. But the writing is really poor, with thinly drawn characters and a ridiculous plot. While there's some charm to The Phantom, ultimately it's a cheesy B-movie that doesn't work.
The years have been kind to this film and hold up quite well. I originally jumped on the bandwagon of disliking the film but I now find it a guilty pleasure. The fight scenes and certain actors are cringe worthy but there is something to like here. Billy Zane is quite good, sadly the material wasn't better to give him a honest chance.
Slated upon its release in 1996, The Phantom has never been on the top of anyone's favourite superhero list. I remember the character from Defenders Of The Earth (Defenders), but that's about it. This film isn't spectacular, but like some other films I've watched recently for the first time since their mid-90s releases, it's actually a nice change of pace from the current market. The Phantom has Billy Zane as the ghost that walks. A man who protects the deep dark jungles by riding a horse and brandishing pistols. See, he isn't your average hero. That's part of the quirky charm. It's more of an action adventure film than a superhero piece, but the practical effects and stunts are great to look at. The characters are all cheesy and fun, especially the likes of Remar and Zeta-Jones. It was like stepping back into a time machine before filmmakers had put all of their trust into computers. Will certainly need a viewer who can appreciate the camp and corny, but those that do should be highly rewarded.
This movies okay. Like a lot of the critics point out though, it is definitely an homage to the 30's pulp comic books, so be prepared for some super cheesy lines, and nothing remotely resembling the dark superheroes of the modern era.
