David has a natural inclination for studying foreign languages. I do not know how he studied English; he speaks it fluently and almost without an accent. Besides Georgian and English, David also speaks Arabic, Spanish, Russian, and Hebrew. His language skills allow David to make friends and maintain a correspondence with numerous people around the world—they are extremely valuable to his work. It was his goal to become a polyglot, and he reached it by his own efforts: all the foreign languages he knows, he has studied himself. This speaks in favor of such qualities as discipline, persistence, and a sense of purpose.

David is a person who can be called selfless. Though I do not know whether it is for good or bad for him, David will consistently try to help his friends, relatives, and acquaintances (and often even unfamiliar people), even if it ruins his own plans. Combined with David’s sense of responsibility, this makes him a reliable person who can be counted on. However, this trait of his is so prominent that many unscrupulous individuals—be it colleagues or relatives—use David’s capabilities for their own goals, addressing him for help much more often than it is proper and using his inability to refuse requests.

My best friend David is not a publicly-recognized person. He is not a celebrity, he has not made significant scientific discoveries, written a book, or influenced the life of a country. If you see him in the streets, you will probably never guess that you see a man of great intelligence, willpower, and dignity, and will simply pass him by. But if you knew David as well as I do, you would admire his personality as well. We are no longer students, and our lives now intersect more rarely than we would both want. But I think this is a friendship that will never grow dim.

My cousin laura.

Someone I admire is my cousin Laura. She’s five years older than me, so she’s 19 now and she lives in Bristol. She’s very friendly and confident and she’s got long, wavy, brown hair and greeny-brown eyes. She’s medium height, slim and very fit because she’s a dancer.

She’s been dancing since she was six years old and trains every day at her dance school. She wants to be a professional dancer, but it’s a very difficult profession because it’s so competitive. She often dances in shows and I’ve been to watch her several times. Her favourite type of dance is modern, which is sometimes a bit strange, but I love watching her dance.

Laura is very busy because she also studies photography at university. She’s a really good photographer and has taken lots of amazing photos of me and my family. Her photos have won a few prizes and last year one of her photos was in an exhibition at an art gallery in London.

Laura doesn’t have a lot of free time and she’s also trying to learn German because she wants to go to Germany next year to do a photography course. I think Laura is very hard-working and she deserves to become a professional dancer one day.

Have you ever known someone who has respect and admiration from everybody? It seems like people want to be around them. They are natural leaders and people trust them and follow them. Some of these people include famous historical people such as Galileo, Lincoln, and Churchill. What qualities make these people so admirable? In my opinion, qualities that make a person admirable are honesty, bravery, and unconventionality.

Honesty is one of the most important qualities of an admirable person. If they lie one day it will be exposed and when this happens it will destroy the trust that people have for them. For example, Abraham Lincoln was known as ‘honest Abe’ in his youth. It is said that he once walked three miles to return the extra change accidently taken from a customer while working as a store clerk. It is very difficult to admire a person you don’t trust. Honest people also have a tendency to tell people the things they don’t want to hear but it is important for them to know. Sometimes the truth makes people suffer for a short time but in the long term it will earn a great deal of respect. It is really hard to be honest if you not brave enough.

All admirable people seem to be braver than the average person. This is because doing the right thing sometimes is really hard. Sometimes legal is not always right. For example, the underground railroad was technically a criminal organization but the people who join pursued the right thing even they knew it was a risk. This all needs bravery. It is now these people that are admired, and they didn’t follow the rules. They are brave to ‘right’ a wrong in society.

Admirable people often have an unconventional way of thinking and doing things. They follow what they think is right and not what is popular. People like to follow other people rather than stand out that because they try to avoid trouble but they can’t make people respect and admire them. All great thinkers and leaders had very unconventional personalities and followed their conscience instead of popular belief. For example, Galileo maintained that the Earth was not at the center of the universe. He was condemned by the church and sentenced to house arrest for the remainder of his life, but he is now universally admired and respected.

Three of the most important qualities that make a person admirable are honesty, bravery and unconventionality. Honesty inspires trust and respect, bravery causes people to take unconventional stands, and unconventionality allows people to follow the ‘unused’ path of discovery. These three qualities can make anyone an admirable person.

Do you admire someone? What is the admirable thing of your admired person? Do you want to be like your admired person? For most of us, we have an admirable person in our lives who is our life role model. Our life role model might

have faced their pressure or difficulty in life. Even though we can not be exactly like our life role model, we want to be

like our life role model as similar as possible. We all want to be admired by someone and identifying what qualities

make someone admirable can help us to achieve that goal.

Admirable people share three common qualities that allow then to be admired by someone. Firstly, people who are

admirable are brave. They try to face their fears by trying something that they never tried or scared to try. For example,

there is a quote that says “Danger gleams like sunshine to a brave man's eyes”. The quote explains that they face their

Secondly, they have a positive mind. They think that everything is possible. For example, there is a quote that says

“There is nothing we can not do in the world. People just think they can not”. The quote explains that we can do

Lastly, people who are admirable never gives up even though they failed. For instance, there is a quote that says

“Failure is the mother of success”. The quote explains that never give up until you succeed.

If you want to be admirable, you need to be brave, have positive mind and never give up. Not many people be

admirable without these qualities, but don’t be sad. These three qualities brave, positive mind and never giving up will

help you become more similar to your life role model.

If Wall Street was wrong about recession odds in 2023 and 2024, forecasting for next year won't be any easier, Cambridge economist Mohamed El-Erian wrote in Project Syndicate . 

In his view, chances of a US soft-landing scenario still remain strong for the near-term, but there are three key risks that will determine how likely this really is.

First, all eyes are on the Federal Reserve as to whether it will double down in its 2% inflation chase, or if it can live with a slightly higher rate.

According to El-Erian, the central bank's fixation on this figure could trap it between a rock and a hard place, in the case that US growth starts slowing before the target is reached.

In fact, the first quarter is already showing signs of this, with the latest GDP reading declining markedly against hotter-than-expected inflation. That has led to "stagflationary" alarm on Wall Street, a situation the Fed could only combat by hiking interest rates higher.

Since last year, El-Erian has warned 2024's inflation would get stuck between the 3%-4% mark , and called on the Fed to readjust its target a percentage higher ; otherwise, the central bank risks crushing the economy to achieve its goal, he's said before.

Second, America's growth trajectory will also depend on consumer spending, but especially among lower-income households. Though US consumption has generally stayed strong, lower-income brackets have taken the brunt of a declining environment . The cohort is increasingly strained by higher debt and eroded savings.

"Given high interest rates and some creditors' loss of enthusiasm, this cohort's willingness to consume will hinge on whether the labor market remains tight," El-Erian wrote.

Third, US growth is at the mercy of where the broader narrative goes — which could either mean an innovative boost or a international rupture:

"While technological advances promise a new favorable supply shock that could unlock higher growth and drive down inflation, geopolitical developments could do the opposite, as well as limit the scope for macroeconomic policy," he said. 

For instance, while technology such as generative AI and sustainable energy could mean transformative growth for at least a few years, international strife could spark stagflationary instability — such as in the case that crude surges over $100 a barrel, El-Erian wrote.

What makes someone admirable?

In the 7-billion-people world, each person has different lifestyles with various purposes. Some of them have their own qualities which makes others admire and respect them. According to the topic, I would like to share my view of the reasons that make someone admirable.

An admirable person is also known as a role model in many aspects, depending on personal criteria. In my first opinion, a role model is supposed to have good behaviors which are a top priority. This is because a person who is well-mannered and kind will receive a respectful look from other people. In addition, being sociable and confident can help them improve their work and connect with other relationships.

Another opinion is that an admirable person is well-educated and has a deep understanding of a specific subject, such as business, art, sports, sociology, etc. Besides, they are also very good at communication skills which are considered to be an important key in the current society.

Not only are their personalities but role models also have a right attitude toward lives. The reason for making someone admirable is that they have a determination and perseverance in working and pursuing goals. The most important thing is the dedication of achievements to their lives. Moreover, they are always patient and optimistic in bad situations. These characteristics can be shown in the way of confronting adversity and succeeding in completing their aims. In my perspective, my father is a suitable example for this topic. Basically, my father is not a hero or a famous person; however, he is a meaningful man in my life. The reason is that my father has made a great effort to build a comfortable and happy family. His strength helps him to suffer from pain and difficulties over the years. Therefore, my father inspires his daughters to have a resolve to achieve our goals and passions.

In conclusion, there are many different criteria to consider someone to be an admirable person. Whether that is an excellent doctor or your normal family member, each person has their own value and they deserve to have respect from others. Maybe, we are role models for someone else that makes them have motivation in their lives.
