  • Description
  • Delivery & returns

This resource facilitates assessor and student understanding of the requirements of the non-exam internal assessment (coursework element) of Component 1 of the BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care.

It does this by providing model student answers for example tasks, which follow the format of the Pearson Set Assignments. The responses show the level of detail broadly expected from a young person completing the tasks in a 6 hour-controlled assessment. An assessor commentary is included for each response.

  • This can be used for assessors to practice applying the mark scheme.
  • This can be used to standardise your team, or for Early Career Teachers to gain more experience of assessing this qualification.
  • This can also be used as a student activity.

This is a companion resource to the BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care (2022) Component 1 Formative Assessment NEIA Packs.
