14th August, is our INDEPENDENCE DAY and it means a day when we had got freedom not only from our ruthless rulers but freedom from humiliation. At this day we got our own identity and our own valves. Pakistan came into being in 1947 as a sovereign state. 14th August is a day when, efforts of our national heroes are appreciated and celebrated and a day when we get our name and respect. Being Muslims we have our own values, traditions and religion. We Muslims celebrate this day with complete satisfaction and pleasure of being in a separate region where we enjoy freedom of living in every way. Pakistan is a democratic parliamentary federal Islamic republic state. Pakistan has its four provinces, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The day is a national holiday in Pakistan and is celebrated all over the country with flag raising ceremonies, tributes to the national heroes and fireworks taking place in the capital, Islamabad. President and prime minister delivers speeches and in the speech, the leaders highlight the achievements of the government, goals set for the future and in the words of the father of the nation, Quaid-i-Azam, bring "Unity, Faith and Discipline" to its people. Day starts with flag raising ceremonies in the Capital city Islamabad and so in all major cities in Pakistan. March parade and exchange of guard’s ceremonies takes place on the Quaid-i-Azam’s mausoleum.

At WAHGA-BORDER flag raising ceremonies takes place while everybody stands quiet and motionless in the honor of "NATIONAL ANTHEM" after that, military parade gets stars.

Names of people like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan are always written in golden words in the history of Pakistan. Muhammad Ali Jinnah also known as Quaid-e-Azam is the real founder of Pakistan. Allama Iqbal, with his enthusiastic poetry, motivated Muslims to think and earn their own nationality and name in the world. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, brought Muslim nation forward and made schools and colleges for Muslims so that they may come to know how to fulfill the latest demands of the advance age.

People gave sacrifices of their lives for independence because they could not follow Islam independently and could not perform their religious duties properly in sub – continent. They were punished or disturbed when they perform their religious duties. It offended Muslims but as they were weak nation, they could not do anything. Pakistan came into being after the sacrifices of countless lives. Many of our ancestors lost their lives only for the freedom of their imminent generations, for the sake of independent land where all the Muslims can offer their religious duties with their own wish and freedom.

As citizens of free Pakistan, we must reflect on the values and principles which were in the minds and hearts of those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. They portrayed inspiration from the values nurtured in the country through ages. Now we are living as an independent nation, which is enjoying all the beauties, charismas of their own homeland. Being an independent and self-respective nation, it’s our duty to serve our country with our best. We should work whole heartedly and with complete devotion for the development of our beloved homeland, we should not forget the sacrifices of our ancestors and national leaders whole made this land happen as an unrestricted territory for us to live. It’s the time to work with that passion which was in the bloods of our national heroes who fought for our freedom; it’s the time for the strong commitment with us for the betterment of our holy land. We should not compromise on our integrity and would not let our freedom and integrity being used by other dominant powers in the world. At this independent day let we rethink about our plans, our actions and their outcomes. We all should pray at this day of best for our pious land and promise ourselves that we would not let any harm on it and will work for its defense till the day of our last breath.

God bless our sacred land, God bless our Pakistan! Ameen. Happy Independence Day

Pakistan Independence Day – August 14, 2024

Pakistan Independence Day on August 14 could be considered a double day of liberation. Muslim Indians also fought to be free of British rule and later re-armed to battle for their own nation-state, present day Pakistan —  once part of the Indian subcontinent. After the British put down the Indian Rebellion of 1857, the Crown assumed full control during the British Raj period. This lasted until Pakistan’s independence in 1947.  The Mountbatten Plan split Pakistan (comprised of West and East Pakistan) from India, creating an independent Muslim nation. In 1971, East Pakistan gained its own independence, becoming known as Bangladesh.  Today, West Pakistan is known simply as Pakistan.

The main Independence Day ceremony ceremony is organized in Islamabad, where the national flag is hoisted at the Parliament and Presidency buildings. This is follow up by the national anthem and widely circulated and televised speeches by the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Pakistan Independence Day is a National Holiday in Pakistan.

2021 marks the 74th Independence Day for the country.

When is Pakistan Independence Day 2024?

“Unity, Faith, and Discipline” is the guiding principle and national motto of Pakistan. The country celebrates its Independence Day on August 14.

History of Pakistan Independence Day

The creation of Pakistan is an astounding one, and quite a unique occurrence in modern history.

Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh were originally part of one giant territory called the Indian subcontinent. Ever since the religion of Islam was introduced and embraced in the subcontinent, peace was disturbed due to clashes and the oppression of Muslims by Hindus. To safeguard the Muslim minority, intellectual thought and philosophies were set into motion after the War of Independence in 1857.

The circumstances were not in favor of the Muslim community but, with courage and faith, the downtrodden Muslims residing in the subcontinent were successful in actualizing their dreams of freedom. In 1906, the All-India Muslim League was founded and, on October 1 the same year, the first delegation of 36 Muslim leaders presented their demand to the viceroy of India at Simla for a separate state for Muslims.

The concept of Pakistan and liberation for Muslims would have remained a pipe dream, had it not been for one man’s superhuman efforts and struggle to make it a reality. Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a barrister and politician, who later on became the father of the nation of Pakistan. Jinnah was the leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 onwards, until Pakistan’s independence.

Allama Muhammad Iqbal was another visionary who propelled the idea of the separation of Muslims from India. In his presidential address on December 29, 1930, at Allahabad, Iqbal proposed the idea. The Allahabad Address is now revolutionary in history. The name ‘Pakistan’ first appeared in a pamphlet called “Now Or Never” in 1933.

It was quite a big day in history. Prominent Muslim leaders from all over India attended the session, and there was finally a legitimate solution to the centuries-old struggle of Muslims to gain sovereignty and freedom. On February 20, 1947, the turning point happened when British Prime Minister Clement Attlee made an announcement to grant India complete self-governance by June 1948. After multiple consultations with the British government and Congress leaders, the last viceroy of India, Lord Mountbatten, released the ‘June Plan.’

Both India’s Congress and the Muslim League welcomed Mountbatten’s plan. In July 1947, the British parliament introduced the Indian Independence Act. Separate provisional governments were established for Pakistan and India on July 20. Finally, the great subcontinent of British India was partitioned into the two countries of India and Pakistan on August 14, 1947.

The partition was full of bloodshed and carnage. Since the inception of the idea of a separate nation for Muslims, Hindu brutality intensified and there was great opposition to Jinnah and the rest of the Muslim leaders’ ideas to create a sovereign identity for Muslims. Lineages and families were destroyed and tales of partitions are still collected and archived today.

“You are free; you are free to go to your temples. You are free to go to your mosques or to any other places of worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion, caste or creed — that has nothing to do with the business of the state.” ― Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Pakistan Independence Day timeline

The Government of India Act results in the British Crown assuming direct control over much of the Indian subcontinent, including the areas known today as Bangladesh and Pakistan.

It's the end of the British Raj (the period of British rule over India, beginning in 1858) and, in the aftermath, divisions in the subcontinent results in Pakistan's hard-fought win in gaining independence.

The founding leader of Pakistan, Muhammed Ali Jinnah, dies.

Pakistan transitions from a dominion to a republic, officially becoming known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Why Pakistan Independence Day is Important

Independence means celebration.

Countries around the world have fought hard to win freedom and status as independent nations. The Pakistanis not only fought for independent sovereignty but they also battled for religious freedom. On Pakistan Independence Day, Pakistanis celebrate their many personal, religious and national freedoms.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah led the fight for independence

Several key leaders pushed for Pakistani independence — Muhammad Ali Jinnah being key among them. Jinnah, Karachi-born and London-trained as a barrister, became an organizing voice for independence in Pakistan as part of the Indian National Congress during the early years of the last century. Later, Jinnah helped to form coalitions fighting for Pakistan to be an independent Muslim nation-state. Today Muhammad Ali Jinnah is revered as the first governor-general of Pakistan, who was instrumental in shaping the country's policies and priorities after independence.

Religious freedom is guaranteed under the constitution

Imagine being forbidden to practice your religion because it's illegal. Pakistan Independence Day marks gratitude for the nation's Muslims because their right to freely practice Islam is guaranteed under their constitution. But in Pakistan today, there are several Muslim sects, as well as other religious minorities, who face persecution and daily threats of violence or death.

14 August Speech in English for Pakistan Independence Day

Today I am going to consecrate my words to my homeland in the form of a 14 August Speech in English for Pakistan Independence Day. “14th August” is the day of the Independence of Pakistan and the day to stand up together singing the national anthem and raising the sound proclaiming that ‘we are Pakistani’. Yes of course! This is a devotional day for all Pakistani nationals not only in Pakistan but also for those Pakistanis who are sitting in abroad countries. The reason is that Pakistan is our unique recognition on the map of the world. The reason is before the formation of a separate country for sub-continental Muslims; no one respects the real religious rights of Muslims. One of the big issues between Hindus and Muslims was the difference between their living styles, their rituals, their foods as well as their litanies. If Muslims use to eat cow meat the Hindus use to adore the cow. Muslims bow before Allah and Hindus bow before stones (Baghwan). Moreover, Hindus were superior in amount while Muslims were few and helpless. So in these hurdles, one man sees a dream of Independence and aims to make his dream come true. So, after a lot of effort and sacrifices, Pakistan came into being.

The one who saw the dream of Pakistan was Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal (The Poet of the East). At that time Muhammad Ali Jinnah (Quaid-e-Azam) was a student and a member of the Indian National Congress. But after listing this dream and when he realized that Congress was just supporting Hindus and neglecting Muslims, he joined the All India Muslim League. The entrance of this hero to this party was a massive turnaround for Muslims.

Sir Syed Ahmed Khan did a great job. Sir Syed advised Muslims to learn English so that the British can understand that they are not against them. He organized schools and colleges where Muslims were independently allowed to take admitted and study English. Afterwards, when Muslims got educated they were allowed to apply for jobs. Through this, Muslims were able to get jobs and it helped them a lot.

At the start, Muhammad Ali Jinnah was in supporting the narrative that the British should leave the country and give it to Muslims and Indians who can live here in peace. But later he realized that it is impossible for them to live together. So, he raised his voice for the separation of both nations and demanded the British to leave the country and before leaving, divide both nations and make two countries for them. Following continues hard work and sacrifices, Pakistan came into existence in 1947. On the 14th of August, a new country came into existence and it is called Pakistan. When it was announced that all the Muslims of Sub Continent will migrate from India to Pakistan, Hindus start killing them openly. But in the end, Muslims got their homeland.

Pakistan Independence Day Essay

Now all the students who are looking for the 14 August Pakistan Independence Day Essay can take the information from this page and perform in Schools and colleges. Further, 14th August is the day that will be remembered as long as Pakistan is on the map of this world because this was the day on which Pakistan got freedom from the tyrannical rule of Hindus and the British in the Indian Subcontinent. Muslims were always considered as the minority in the Subcontinent and that is why their rights were always being overruled and neglected This increased the dissatisfaction and uncertainty amongst the Muslim nation as they started feeling suffocated under the rule of Hindus and when under the leadership of Mohammad Ali Jinnah all the Muslims gathered on one platform and from there they started their strive for a separate homeland where they can practice their religion with religious freedom and equality.

14 August Pakistan Independence Day Essay

It was not an easy task to get the land from Hindus because the Muslims were very few in number. But their faith and unity was the thing that forced the Hindus and British to make this decision. The top leaders including Mohammed Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Aga Khan III, Fatima Jinnah, Liaqat Ali, Zafarullah Khan, Rahmat Ali, M.A Johar, and many others were those, who taught Muslims the true meaning of freedom. Before these politicians, the Muslims of the Subcontinent were in the sleep of negligence. Allama Muhammad Iqbal motivated them and gave them power through his poetry.

14 August Pakistan Independence Day Speech/Essay in English

With great leadership and courage, Muslims were finally able to get to Pakistan on 14th August 1947. The impact of the independence of Pakistan was seen all over the world. After this, the Muslim world became more powerful. Everyone appreciated the struggle of Mohammed Ali Jinnah, his companions, and the Muslims who gave their lives to get to Pakistan. The most outstanding thing after Independence was the changes made by the citizens. Having limited things like machinery, food, and houses, they achieved those things that can’t be predicted. It took many sacrifices to get the country but today we are not doing the things taught by our elders. We got this country so that we can perform our religious worship. Moreover, basic things like Justice, illiteracy rate, and poverty have very bad conditions.

Pakistan’s government and its people are still not taking any lessons from the past as not just once. But twice they have witnessed the result of unfair treatment and not giving the people their due rights but unfortunately, no one is taking the lesson from the past. Still, in our provinces of the country, we are laying the foundation of another civil disobedience and GOD forbid there might be another possibility that any province.

No matter whether it is Sindh, Baluchistan, or KPK will stand and will demand a separate homeland because the rights of the people are being snatched and there is no equality in the provinces as few provinces are being neglected by the federal government. We still have time to survive and to improve the condition because what happened in 1947 was in our favor but what happened to East Pakistan was a big loss and what further can happen to be even more devastating and injurious to the solidarity and the growth of Pakistan.

Pakistan Independence Day – 14th August 2024 Essay (New- Urdu)

Long Speech On 14 Aug Independence Day for College Students

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed teachers, and my dear classmates,

14th August Speech in English for students

The word Independence refers to the freedom of mind, intent and action. Because of long-term experience, we’re breathing free as respected, independent and law-abiding residents of Pakistan. Freedom lets you ultimately control the things you do, what you do and where you do it, taking into consideration the laws of the land.

Pakistan is a fantastic gift. It’s a gift that is ours thanks to the sacrifices of thousands of fighters for freedom who decided to be free and also to defend their children’s future. The value and worth of liberty can only be assessed when you are in a bind. There are thousands of examples across the globe. From one end of the world, the world is still full of inhumane treatment and slavery of every kind. We respect you, Sir. All of us know there is a reason for the celebration of 14th August to commemorate the injustices of our time.

We gather here to pay tribute to the leaders who gave us this land for free. Land. The endless struggle that lasted throughout the years after we received this land. The leaders, such as Quaid Azam Iqbal Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed, Liaqat Ali and the like, are our heroes for choosing not to bow to the demands and machinations of British and Hindu supremacy. Generations of us will be eternally grateful for the bloodshed of these leaders.

Dear Sir, Pakistan as a state will continue to be a beacon of gratitude for the friendship of nations. Unfortunately, we’ve suffered several injuries and numerous conspiracy against our country. Since Independence in 2000, we’ve been fighting evils of all kinds. However, we are grateful that, according to the principles of discipline, unity, and faith, we’re in the present, standing proudly behind all.

Let me assure you that we’re here and here to stay as a free, independent and fair land even after all the conspiracy theories. As a country, the well-known public faces various problems here. It’s pretty depressing to say that we are faced with myriad issues. Law and order in different areas of our country are in danger. There are issues of corruption, resource mismanagement, illiteracy, and unemployment.

The only thing we’ve left is unification, hard work and faith in God. We must protect our nation from all these problems. The more United we become, the more secure we are. A lot of the responsibility falls on those of us children. Thank you to everyone who has been here. Ultimately, I encourage everyone to be active in the pursuit of great national responsibility. We must work hard all day and night to make our country peaceful, contributing to world peace, prosperity, and a happy life. Insha Allah, the day is not too far away when we will triumph over all the challenges.

Assalam O Alaikum.

Honourable Principal, respected teachers, and my dear friends and students,

I wish you all a very happy Independence Day. Today is the 14th of August, 2024, which marks the 75nd Independence Day of our beloved Pakistan.

Pakistan has been the product of decades of sacrifices and struggles by Muslim leaders. Dear Sir, Muslims could not live free under British rule. Our language, culture and religious beliefs were in danger. It made it essential for Muslims to have free land. It is how we gained our Independence.

Dear people, we have a responsibility to defend our homeland Pakistan. It is a massive burden that lies on us. We are required to work all day and night for the advancement and well-being of our land Pakistan.

Dear friends, Independence is not a small thing. It is an honour and a gift from God. The freedom and freedom we enjoy today are many years of struggle behind. But there is a reason for it. Because of true honest leaders’ hard work and sacrifices, we are now in a position of freedom. We are all respected, and as we gather today, we must consider that we’ve done poorly and have not done enough to safeguard our freedom. Our nation is in the midst of numerous issues.

It is essential to think about today and plan for the future. This 14th day of august isn’t ordinary. This day is a call to remind us of our responsibilities to the land. Essay on independence day of pakistan 14 august 1947 in english for 8t ….

14th August the day of Pakistan a normal day for other world but its utmost valuable day for Pakistani Nation. On 14th August,1947 world saw a new country on the land. The Country of scarifies, efforts, continuous struggle and affirmation a nation. This new born country called Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It was most pleasant news for Muslim ummah that Pakistan took place on the world map. Pakistan is the symbol of integrity, efforts and sacrifices. Muslim of subcontinent were living a painful life and  slavery life. Slavery life is against the Muslim integrity. Muslim can die with hunger but can never live like slaves because this is against his nature. Pakistan has historical and an ideological back ground. Pakistan on the earth is not less than miracle. Our home land is the result of restless efforts of subcontinent people.

Pakistan is the combination of two words “Pak” and “Stan” Pak mean pious and Stan mean land it means land of pious. There was dream of Muslim of subcontinent to live their life according to their religion. For these practices piece of land was necessary. For that creation of Pakistan was come to reality.Independence day for any nation is like festival and the people of Pakistan celebrate this great day with enthusiasm and joy. Pakistani Flag has two colors white and green, white portion represents the minorities and green represent the Muslims. There is moon in flag represent the development of Pakistan and Star represent the affirmation and Five pillars of Islam.

Pakistan is the result of remarkable efforts by our leaders and whole nation. The Muslims of Subcontinent gave many sacrifices for several year as they were not allowed to practice their norms and values according to their religion as they were the minority.

However the efforts made by the leaders and people like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Liaqat Ali Khan, Fazl e Haq, Molana Shabbir Ahmed Usmani, and also many other made sure that their sacrifices did not go in vain and they were able to provide the Muslims an independent homeland.

The significant reason of loving Pakistan is Independence movement itself. Today we know we are living in worst situation, there is to many problems suicides, corruption, load shedding, disorder of law, unemployment, floods, Europeans says we are exporter of terrorism, and where courts themselves cry for justice.

To see above all situations how we can feel proud?. Every one says what thing Pakistan given us etc. But i want to say here a famous Quote ‘Ask not what Pakistan has given to us; just ask what we have done for Pakistan’. With this spirit today i invite you all Pakistanis to Love Pakistan and live for Pakistan and for its people.

Pakistan is our proud, Firstly we Pakistani then more. Pakistan given us respect ,honor, identity. It is time we must return Pakistan our firm believe in its foundations, our love and spirit of patriotism to up lift the Bright image. Pakistan Zinda Baad

Essay on Why I Love Pakistan Pdf Downaod

love my country very much. This love is due to many weighty reasons. First of all, I love my country because I was born here. This is my motherland where I have lived all my life. So it is natural for me to love my country. I have been eating the delicious fruit of my country.

“I love the country because it’s my own, just like my parents and the house I live in is my own.”

I love my country very much. This love is due to many weighty reasons. First of all, I love my country because I was born here. This is my motherland where I have lived all my life. So it is natural for me to love my country. I have been eating the delicious fruit of my country. My body is strong because I have eaten its wheat and drank its water. Her animal milk has given me strength. The air of the country from which I have always breathed has kept me alive. Beautiful flowers in bright colors whose fragrance and observation make me happy. The beautiful trees in the mountains and hills and gardens have always made me very happy. I love my country because I am a patriot. He who does not love his country does not deserve to live in it.

I got all my education in my country. In her beloved and respected schools and colleges, Law has learned about life and its problems. I have set high goals for my future in their classrooms. Pakistani teachers, who are known for their ability, great ideas, and principles, have taught me.

I like all the places where I spent my childhood. Playgrounds are as dear to me as the streets where I jumped and played without any worries. I like the streets that I walk on and run with other children in all the carelessness and dreams of childhood. I live with other Pakistanis and I have studied and worked with them. My friends are all Pakistanis for whom I can only have feelings of love and respect.

My country is like a small continent. To the south is the ocean, with its waves crashing against a long beach. In Karachi, you have a humid climate because it is close to the sea. In the interior of Sindh, it is dry and hot because most of it is desert-like. The weather in Balochistan is dry and cold. Punjab is neither so hot nor so cold. Parts of the border province are similar to Europe. Murree, Gilgit, Swat, and Azad Kashmir are completely mountainous. 300 Word NATIONAL HERO or QUAID-E-AZAM Essay

A national hero is an individual with extraordinary qualities. He has the power to shape the destiny of his country. There have been many great heroes throughout history, but Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is our national hero. He is the founder of Pakistan and the savior of hundreds of millions of Indian Muslims. It is called the best statement of its time.

Only a few have managed to gain control of a large country like Pakistan through peaceful means. He was born in Karachi on December 25, 1876, in the house of a businessman named Jinnah Punja.

He went to England to study law after completing his university studies. He returned to Bombay as a barrister and began his practice there. He soon made a name for himself as a lawyer. He entered politics in 1905. He joined the Indian National Congress to liberate his country from British rule.

Initially, he was a strong supporter of Hindu-Muslim unity. But soon, he found out that his Hindu leaders were narrow-minded, and they did not give a fair deal to the Muslim League. He was recognized as a defender of Muslim rights.

“Hindus and Muslims are two separate nations and can no longer live together,” he said. He worked for a separate homeland for Indian Muslims, which he finally got on August 14, 1947. He became the first Governor-General of Pakistan. But day by day, the pressure of his work affected his body, and he died on September 11, 1948.

Death did not allow him to work for the development and glory of his country. Quaid-e-Azam had a character. Even his opponents acknowledged his honesty and integrity. He is the hero of our great freedom.
