500 Words Essay on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel In Hindi

As an active participant in India’s freedom struggle, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a successful barrister. The British were forced out of India due to his support for Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters.

Although Vallabhbhai Patel Ji was considered informal by his family and friends, he secretly dreamed of becoming a barrister. As soon as he graduated from high school, he pursued his dream of studying law. Rather than spending time with his family, he focused on studying to accomplish his goal. As a lawyer, Patel began practicing law shortly after becoming a lawyer.

The situation was, however, different. In order to climb the success ladder, he wanted to succeed. To become a barrister, he intended to study law in England. Everything went as planned with his papers. In the end, Patel listened to his elder brother’s plea and agreed to let his elder brother continue his studies. Their brothers were able to travel and study in England using the same documents because they both had initials. Patel allowed her to come to his house since he could not deny her request.

At 36, he left to pursue his dreams as he continued practicing law while living in the country. He completed the course within 30 months of starting it. In India, he became a barrister after graduating from law school. His family and he were proud of him.

His practice of law was in Ahmedabad where he settled. Among Ahmedabad’s top barristers, he became successful. As a parent, Patel wanted to provide his children with a high-quality education by earning a good income. It was for this reason that he continued to work in this direction.

Throughout his life journey, Sardar Patel has inspired me. Without family support and guidance, he struggled to reach his professional goals. Besides motivating his children to achieve success, he also fulfilled her brother’s aspirations, took good care of his family, and fulfilled her brother’s aspirations.

In order for the country to become independent, he played a key role in mobilizing the people. As a result of his influence, the people were able to work together without any bloodshed against the British. It was for this reason that he became known as India’s Iron Man. As a member of a number of freedom movements, he inspired others to do the same. The title Sardar, meaning Leader, was eventually given to him for his leadership abilities and ability to successfully lead many movements.

It is truly inspiring to see Sardar Patel’s aspirations and efforts toward achieving business goals. The youth of his time, as well as the people of his era, found inspiration in him. In the true sense of the word, he was self-sufficient.

Conclusion,

Among the most inspiring freedom fighters of all time is Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The values he embodied and the ethos he upheld remain relevant to this day. Consequently, children learn about the freedom fighter in school and what contributed to the struggle for independence. As children memorize and present facts in a coherent way through essay writing, this subject is an effective medium for them to learn about. It improves their grammar and vocabulary while demonstrating their knowledge of the topic.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Essay for Students - 100, 200, 500 Words

A well-known liberation warrior, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, fought with national figures like Mahatma Gandhi for India's independence. He diligently strove to unite a divided India because he believed in the power of togetherness. He was given the nickname "Iron Man of India" in recognition of his success in bringing the nation together and his efforts for national unification. Sardar Patel was appointed the nation's Home Minister after independence.

To create United India, he undertook the complicated process of bringing together more than 500 princely states. He served as an example for later generations and other freedom warriors. October 31 is honoured as "National Unity Day" on the anniversary of his birth to celebrate the lessons we gained from his life.

Patel always said ‘Manpower without unity is not a strength unless it is harmonised and united properly, then it becomes a spiritual power.’ His life has been a source of motivation and inspiration. He first accomplished his professional objectives with little help from others before playing a crucial role in uniting the Indian people in their quest for independence.

He was known as the Iron Man of India because he adhered to the idea of Unity in Diversity and his willingness to stand as one for the goal of India's independence. He was given the name Sardar Patel, which means leader Patel, in recognition of his leadership abilities and capacity to relate to the general public.

My Inspiration

Sardar Patel made an exceptional and unparalleled contribution to the freedom struggle in India. He genuinely inspired me. I was incredibly motivated by learning about him in history books and other publications. I've always aspired to be like him and positively contribute to my nation.

At the height of the liberation struggle, he served as a huge source of inspiration for young people across the country, and he still does now. In all respects, he qualifies as a self-made man. His concepts of integration laid the groundwork for unity. India's Iron Man will always be appreciated.

On October 31, 1875, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was born in the Gujarati village of Nadiad among the Leuva Patel Patidar community. Vallabhbhai Jhaverbhai Patel is his full name; however, he is more commonly referred to as Sardar Patel. His mother, Ladbai had a spiritual bent, while Sardar Patel's father, Zaverbhai Patel, served in the Army of the Queen of Jhansi. Patel has always had a strong sense of bravery.

Sardar Patel finished his matriculation at 22 when everyone else completed their graduation, and because of this, everyone assumed he would be working in regular occupations. Following graduation, Sardar Patel continued his education, earning a degree in law before moving to England to practise law as a barrister. He practised law in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, after leaving for India.

As a member of the Indian National Congress, Vallabhbhai was elected Secretary for Gujarat in 1917. Following the flooding in Kaira in 1918, he protested the British practice of taxing the farmers. He tried to convince the British to give the farms' land back. He received the title of "Sardar" in recognition of his valiant efforts to reclaim the land and unite the local farmers.

A tax hike was another issue that Bardoli's farmers had to deal with in 1928. Farmers' land was taken when they were unable to pay the levy. After negotiating a deal between the government and the farmers' representatives, Vallabhbhai was able to give the land back to the farmers.

Patel was also a key figure in Mahatma Gandhi's non-cooperation movement. Gandhi and Patel travelled the nation together, enlisting 300,000 new members and amassing more than 1.5 million. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was imprisoned in 1930 due to his involvement in the well-known Salt Satyagraha movement, which Mahatma Gandhi started.

Additionally, he delivered an energising speech that profoundly affected the audience. When Mahatma Gandhi was imprisoned, he participated in every event to support the Satyagraha movement that expanded throughout Gujarat. After signing an agreement between Lord Irwin and Mahatma Gandhi, Patel was freed in 1931.

In 1950, Vallabhbhai Patel's health began to deteriorate. The doctor had informed him that he wouldn't live very long. His physical health started deteriorating after a few months, forcing him to be on bed rest. He suffered a heart attack on December 15th, 1950, and died the same day. His birthday, which falls on January 31st, was designated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day in 2014. In 1991, he received the Bharat Ratna Award posthumously.

My Patriotism

Sardar Patel made a tremendous and unparalleled contribution to the fight for Indian independence. He was the one who awoke a sense of patriotism in me. Through him, I understood how important it is to be patriotic. He will always be my role model and my inspiration. I shall look up to him and do something which my country would be proud of as it was of him. Sardar Patel's desire to succeed professionally and his efforts are incredibly motivating. He served as an example for today's kids and those in his day. In the truest sense, he was a self-made man.

Who was sardar vallabhbhai patel.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was one of the prominent Indian barristers, politicians and leading figures of the country. He rose to prominence at the time of India’s freedom movement. After independence in 1947, he served as Deputy Prime Minister, Home Minister, Information Minister and Minister of State of India. He was indeed one of the founding leaders of the Republic of India and was instrumental in keeping the nation united. This uncompromising commitment of Vallabhbhai Patel to national integration earned him the sobriquet “Iron Man of India.”

Early Life and Education of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

The primary education of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was completed in Karamsad and the higher education in Petlad. He passed the Class 10 Board exam at the age of 22 years which was a bit unusual. He went to London in 1910 for further studies. The 36-month course of advocacy was completed by him in just 30 months. In 1913, he came back to India and settled in Ahmedabad. After his return from abroad, he became a barrister in criminal law at Ahmedabad bar.

Life and Work of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Sardar Patel served as the first municipal commissioner of Ahmedabad from 1917 to 1924 and in 1924 he became the president of Municipality. He served as the president from 1924 to 1928.

His movement to help the farmers and zamindars of Kairana (Gujarat) against the decision of the Bombay Govt to retrieve the tax even after the unfavourable crop season made him a prominent figure in 1918. The agitation of zamindars of Bardoli against the increased taxes was led successfully by Sardar Patel in the year 1928. After this movement, he was recognized as “Sardar” which means “leader”.

Sardar Patel was sentenced to imprisonment for three months at the time of 1930 Salt Satyagraha. The Karachi session of the Indian National Congress was presided over by Sardar Patel in 1931. He took part in Mahatma Gandhi’s movement of disobedience and was arrested by the British Police in 1940. He was imprisoned at that time for a period of nine months. He lost almost 20 pounds of weight while serving his term in jail.

Sardar Patel was arrested for the third time at the time of Quit India Movement (1942) and his period of imprisonment was 1942 to 1945 at the fort in Ahmednagar. The Congress Party was led by him in 1937 elections and he was one of the prominent contenders for the post of Congress President in 1937. However, he withdrew his nomination and was replaced by Jawaharlal Nehru upon receiving Gandhi's advice.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had a very strong interest in law. After winning the district pleader’s examination, he started practising law. In 1900, he started an independent district pleader office in Godhra. After running it for two years, he moved to Borsad and Anand to continue his practice of law.

After his wife’s unexpected demise in 1909, Patel decided to leave for England to complete his studies in law. He moved to London in August 1910 and enrolled at the Middle Temple. Patel enthusiastically completed his education with great academic success and returned to India in 1913. After returning to India, Patel settled in Ahmedabad and established himself as one of the successful barristers in India.

Sardar Patel wasn’t a strong political figure till 1917. Meeting Mahatma Gandhi in Godhra fundamentally changed the ideology of Patel’s life and made him a true admirer of Gandhian principles. He realised the power of ‘Ahimsa’ (non-violence) and believed it was the best political tool to win independence for India from British rule. After his meeting with Gandhi, Patel decided to drop his high-earned job and devote himself to the freedom movement of India. As an initial step, he changed his style and appearance and started wearing white clothes made in India.

From 1917 onwards, Patel participated in numerous freedom movements. Patel marked his entrance into public issues in 1918. He planned a mass campaign against the Bombay government with the participation of peasants, farmers, and landowners of Kheda city in Gujarat. The movement was to fight for the exemption of taxes because of the crop failures caused by heavy rains.

Later in 1920, he joined Gandhi’s Non-cooperation Movement, led the Satyagraha Movement in Nagpur in 1923, conducted the Bardoli Satyagraha of 1928, Civil Disobedience Movement in 1930, Quit India Movement in 1942 etc. During the Bardoli Satyagraha, Vallabhbhai Patel won the title of ‘Sardar’, and his active participation in the campaign made him popular throughout the nation. After 1947, for the first three years of Indian independence, he served as the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of Information, and Minister of States. Later in 1950, Sardar’s health deteriorated, and India lost one of the finest freedom fighters on 15 December, 1950.

Freedom at Midnight

Indian streamer SonyLIV has unveiled the cast and a first look for its magnum opus series “ Freedom at Midnight .”

Based on the 1975 non-fiction book by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre, the political drama delves into India’s independence movement, weaving together untold tales and critical moments from the era when the country’s then British colonial rulers partitioned the country into India and Pakistan.

Popular on Variety

Danish Khan, business head of SonyLIV and StudioNext, said: “‘Freedom at Midnight’ will be our most ambitious project, promising to deliver a series of unparalleled scale and impact. Based on the literary masterpiece where history is told as a thriller and captivate audiences with its narrative depth and authenticity. Under the leadership of Nikkhil Advani and his remarkably skilled team, the transition from page to screen will be nothing short of extraordinary. We at SonyLIV, StudioNext are delighted to collaborate with Emmay Entertainment to bring this highly relevant and electrifying story of India’s independence to our audiences across the world.”

“Freedom at Midnight” is part of a strong 2024 SonyLIV slate that Variety revealed earlier this year.

“Over the course of interacting on ‘Rocket Boys’ and now ‘Freedom At Midnight’ I think Danish-sir and myself have become not just collaborators but friends. For many the platform is on the other side of the table, but Danish-sir sits on the side of the creator. He thinks like us and he empowers us. He took one second after hearing the initial pitch of ‘Rocket Boys’ to greenlight the show and for ‘Freedom,’ well he came to me with a sparkle in his eye and asked ‘How would you like to make your favorite book into a show?,'” Advani added.
