Understanding what contributes to improving a system will help us tackle the problems in education systems that usually fail disproportionately in providing quality education for all, especially for the most disadvantage sectors of the population. This paper presents the results of a qualitative systematic literature review aimed at providing a comprehensive overview of what education research can say about the factors that promote education systems’ improvement. This literature is emerging as a topic of empirical research that merges comparative education and school effectiveness studies as standardized assessments make it possible to compare results across systems and time. To examine and synthesize the papers included in this review we followed a thematic analysis approach. We identify, analyze, and report patterns in the papers included in this systematic review. From the coding process, four drivers for system improvement emerged: (1) system-wide approaches; (2) human capital; (3) governance and macro–micro level bridges; and (4) availability of resources.

The main objective of developing this system is to present an automated way to keep track of attendance which would reduce the present pen and paper based manual method of marking attendance. Replacing the tedious old method this system will save time, reduce the amount of work the teachers has to do and will replace the stationery material with a computer based system. This system deals with the maintenance of the student's attendance details. It generates the attendance of the student on basis of presence in class. It is maintained on the daily basis of their attendance. The staffs will be provided with the separate username & password to make the student's presence. The staffs handling the particular subjects will be responsible to mark the attendance for all students. Only if the student present on that particular period, the attendance will be marked.

— Over the years the manual attendance system has been carried across most of educational institutions. To overcome the problem of manual attendance, now we are using a web based attendance management system, which can be implemented on any computer. This system is being developed to maintain easy access of information from the database. The application makes use of MYSQL as back end and JAVA, HTML, CSS is used as front end. It tracks all the details of a student attendance from day one to end of the course. The conventional method of taking attendance by calling names or signing is very time consuming and insecure, hence inefficient and some of the reasons are not reported to the parents or guardians because the way of informing them is a traditional way and it takes a long process. Here, we implement a system which is SMS broadcasting, which will help the faculty to inform the parents about their student's performance and attendance. Keywords — Web based attendance management system, Database, SMS broadcast. I. INTRODUCTION Attendance Management System (AMS) is software developed for daily attendance of students. Previously, the college relied heavily on paper records. This paper focuses on preventing information in an easy way and intelligible manner which reduces paper and time. The project makes use of database in order to keep a record of attendance and is used while generating a report for individual student. The system is fully controlled by administrator about the staff's profile, student information student attendance. The administrator can add new student, add new staff, view staff and student and view the student attendance report. The faculties are able to directly access all aspects of the student's progress through a secure, online interface embedded in the college website. After the class has been finished, the lecturer can view the student's attendance that has been saved in the faculty server. This system will also help in evaluating attendance eligibility criteria of a student. The faculty can also send messages to parents or guardians about the student performance and attendance by short listing the students. Hence, here communication is made easier with parents and faculty. The messages can be sent through SMS to the mobile number given in details of the students in the file. The purpose of developing this software is to computerize the tradition way of taking attendance. Another purpose of software is to generate the report automatically at the end of the session. Moreover, graphical user interface is provided in the proposed system, which provides user to deal with system very easily. The scope of this project is the system on which the software is installed i.e. the project is developed as a desktop application, and it will work for a particular institute.

“Students Attendance Management System” is software developed for maintaining the attendance of the student on the daily basis in the collage. Here the staffs, who are handling the subjects, will be responsible to mark the attendance of the students. Each staff will be given with a separate username and password based on the subject they handle. An accurate report based on the student attendance is generated here. This system will also help in evaluating attendance eligibility criteria of a student. Report of the student’s attendance on weekly and monthly basis is generated.

For the betterment of the education quality, tracking the attendance of students is a veryimportant part of the modern education system. Manual filling of traditional attendance sheetscan raise many inconvenient issues. To avoid these issues, we come up with an idea ofattendance system which uses the fingerprints of the students to track their attendance. The aimof this study is to make it easier and more accurate for the students to examine. There are twopossible methods for an attendance management system. The first method is that the teacherreads the name of all students, which takes a lot of lesson time. The other one is to give theattendance sheet to the students in the lecture class, asking them to write their own names andplace their signatures on it, In this method some students can sign instead of other students whoare not present in the course. Such methods can lead to the problem of inaccurant attendancerecords. Moreover, the aim of this study is to download student atten...

There are many overwhelming duties of teachers. This is why some people believe they cannot be teachers. One of such overwhelming duty is Attendance Register; some (new) teachers feel there is no need for the attendance register because there is often " no time for it " and it is not included in the timetable. It is often seen as a little work that can be done " some other time " after the major work has been done. In the end, they end up not entering the register for that day, and sometimes, for two or three days! Well, the attendance register is important as we will learn from our speaker soon. The lapses that exist in prompt keeping of the register accrue from the problem of classroom and time management. When we fall behind our schedules, some things will definitely be left undone. And if a teacher cannot manage and direct his/her class to attain the lesson objective at the shortest time possible, s/he will definitely fall behind time. Mrs. Charity will in this following discussion share her wealth of experience – how she has jugged things all along her teaching profession.

Karwan Jacksi

Attendance management is important to every single organization; it can decide whether or not an organization such as educational institutions, public or private sectors will be successful in the future. Organizations will have to keep a track of people within the organization such as employees and students to maximize their performance. Managing student attendance during lecture periods has become a difficult challenge. The ability to compute the attendance percentage becomes a major task as manual computation produces errors, and wastes a lot of time. For the stated reason, an efficient Web-based application for attendance management system is designed to track student's activity in the class. This application takes attendance electronically and the records of the attendance are storing in a database. The system design using the Model, View, and Controller (MVC) architecture, and implemented using the power of Laravel Framework. JavaScript is adding to the application to improve the use of the system. MySQL used for the Application Database. The system designed in a way that can differentiate the hours of theoretical and practical lessons since the rate of them is different for calculating the percentages of the students' absence. Insertions, deletions, and changes of data in the system can do straightforward via the designed GUI without interacting with the tables. Different presentation of information is obtainable from the system. The test case of the system exposed that the system is working enormously and is ready to use to manage to attend students for any department of the University.

Curug SMPN 1 is one of the state senior high schools in Tangerang regency, precisely in Curug district. The teacher absentee system in implementing learning has been running and is considered ineffective because it still has to record in books which are considered inefficient. To facilitate the need for teachers to record reports in books and to make it easier for supervisors, a web-based information system design was created. The method used is a prototype model using the help of an application from Adobe. With the prototype it is expected that the use of the WhatsApp service can be used to provide information to parents. The use of this prototype method is expected to be developed in other schools.
