Research (also known as Upgrades) is a feature in Egg, Inc. which allows you to spend Bocks to upgrade some quality relating to your hatchery , habitats , vehicles , or anything else on the farm. Most areas of research offer multiple levels, each one costing more than the previous. An upgrade from Tier 1 doubling egg value plus an upgrade from Tier 2 doubling egg value again will quadruple egg value. Since no upgrades in one tier do the same thing, this effectively means that all research will compound with each other.

When the number of upgrades researched hits a certain number, the Research Building changes.

Each upgrade or research adds Golden Egg}} 3 or more to the Piggy Bank .

For the first few eggs without soul eggs, you can actually skip research and continuously only make chickens to upgrade your eggs (if you are patient enough), but late in the game you will have to use research to progress further.

Common research are purchased with Bocks . They reset when you sell your farm or prestige .

Levels of research items in a tier can only be purchased once the tier has been unlocked, which requires purchasing enough levels of research from previous tiers on your current farm.

Epic [ edit | edit source ]

Epic research are bought with Golden Eggs . Epic Research does not reset when you upgrade your Egg or Prestige - you keep it forever.

The general formula for Epic Research totals is as follows:

• The costs of the first level and the last level, as well as the total number of levels, are hard coded by the devs.
• For any level in between, call the costs of the first and last levels "first" and "last", respectively, and the number of levels "levels". The cost of a given level "level" is <math>first + \left \lfloor \frac{\left ( level-1 \right ) \left ( last-first \right )}{levels-1} \right \rfloor</math>.
• This will always be less than levels - 1 too large, as it will always overcount by strictly less than 1 extra per level, and the first level can't be overcounted at all. It will never overcount by less than zero, so while it may be exactly accurate, it will never undercount.
• While it is not listed here, the Hyperloop obeys this formula as well, although it only has one level, so there is no need for a formula.

Research Strategies [ edit | edit source ]

• An alternative strategy is buying all the levels of Wormhole Dampening, maxing the habs, and then activating a gusset. However, this would require one artifact slot to be used for the gusset (which cannot be taken off if that would result in habs overflowing).
• Depending on many factors (your level of Hold to Hatch, your hatchery refill rate, your max running chicken bonus, your running chicken bonus per chicken, your personal timing of holding and releasing a button, and your personal skill at rapidly pressing a button), you might have an easier time maintaining your running chicken bonus (and therefore maximizing your income) by rapidly pressing the hatch button than by using Hold to Press.
• But in many situations (including having all common and epic research completed), it is still possible to hold and release with the right timing to never lose the max running chicken bonus. Players who are not skilled at rapidly pressing buttons and/or do not want to put in that much effort may prefer this method even if the occasional poor timing results in a moment of reduced running chicken bonus.

Trivia [ edit | edit source ]

• The Warp Shift epic upgrade was removed and refunded in update 1.10 .
• The Hover Semi, Quantum Transporter, and Hyperloop Train all count as hover vehicles for the purpose of the "Hover Upgrades" research in Tier 9.
• Epic Internal Hatcheries and Internal Hatchery Calm compound, so when both are fully upgraded your hatcheries perform at 6 times the rate they would without these upgrades.
• The FTL Drive Upgrades research only affects Spaceships with faster-than-light drives, or 'warp drives' (the Quintillion Chicken and above).
• The FTL Drive Upgrades and Zero-G Quantum Containment research both only apply to missions which are launched after purchasing the research.
• Silo Capacity visually increases silo height with each level.
• It is easier to maintain maximum running chicken bonus if you keep Habs closer to your Hatchery smaller (and full) while Habs further away have space; this forces the chickens to run around much farther in order to disappear from the screen.

The new mobile game called Egg, Inc. may not answer the question of which came first – the chicken or the egg – but it does offer a glimpse into a fictional future where you’re in charge of an egg farm, building hen houses, hiring drivers, and doing research as you try to make your farm the world’s most advanced.

The game is the creation of Auxbrain, and is available for Android and iOS devices as an “incremental clicker game” that borrows many mechanics and features from other simulation titles. According to Auxbrain, you get crisp and colorful 3D graphics in lieu of menus, and get to do a lot of the things you may be familiar doing if you’ve played other games that simulate the running of a business.

Egg Inc. can appeal to casual gamers, who will enjoy the title’s laid back feel and beautiful appearance, but it’s also more intricate than the average casual title, due to all the things you need to do to properly manage your farm. So join us now as we bring you our list of Egg Inc. tips, tricks and cheats, which should guide you through the process of making your egg farm the most productive and most advanced one out there.

1. Keep On Tapping In The Early Goings

At the start of the game, you’ll want to do as much tapping as possible so you can get those eggs coming along. It’s all up to you – you can use the blue button located on the bottom part of your screen to tap within a smaller or a larger space. You can experiment on which size of space works for you the best, but at the end of the day, the size of the space reserved for tapping will all depend on your play style.

2. What Upgrades Should You Prioritize First?

In order for your farm to become more advanced than the rest, you should perform upgrades, but you also need money for those upgrades to go through. Head to the upgrade screens once you’ve amassed enough money in the game, and choose wisely – you may start by upgrading your hen houses and the vehicles that are used to transport the eggs in a similar way.

But when should you go ahead and perform the upgrade? Simply look at the bar that indicates maximum capacity; if it appears to be filled up well enough, then you can proceed with the upgrades.

3. How To Earn More Money Quickly

If you want to earn more in-game currency quickly, you should be on the lookout for the drone that occasionally flies around while you’re playing. Once you see the drone, tap on it to take it out of commission, and earn money once the drone, now deactivated, drops to the ground. Most of the time, you’ll earn money, though there are also rare cases where you can collect a golden egg, which is the premium currency unit in this game.

It’s a good idea to take advantage when Egg Inc. asks you if you want to watch an ad video to get some golden eggs. Egg rewards for watching those 30-second (or less) clips are decent, though not overwhelmingly good, but you’ll need every one of those golden eggs once you get to an advanced point in the game.

4. Be Updated On The Latest Notifications

Also look out for the notifications on the right of your screen; generally, you want to be up to date on the latest notifications, but this is because you may be informed that a certain amount of cash has been dropped off, ready for you to collect. Aside from telling you if you’ve got cash on your doorstep, the notifications will also let you know if you’re short on space and likely to run out of it soon.

5. Complete The Missions

In Egg Inc., you’ll have certain tasks or quests you have to complete. They’re known as missions in the game, but unlike the quests you may encounter in other games, the missions in Egg Inc. are substantially more time-consuming for the most part. That doesn’t mean that they’re difficult, though, as you will have to exercise some patience; many missions can be achieved organically, or during the process of playing the game.

6. Do Your Research

One of the main mechanics in Egg Inc. is research – you’ll need to do your fair share of it if you want your egg farm to prosper and become more advanced. Tap on the research button to see which ways you can improve your output, and check each of the individual tiers out for yourself. Yes, it may take a while for you to process all the new information found in the research menu, but that’s why we’re here – to let you know what you should be researching on before others!

7. How Should Your Research Hierarchy Look Like?

The first thing you should be researching on is Comfortable Nest, followed by Nutritional Supplements. These two areas can greatly increase the rate in which your hens lay eggs, and can also increase the value of each egg. Yes, that’s right – that means more money, and more money coming in faster. And with more money comes more upgrades. Once you reach Tier 2, your focus should be on Padded Packaging and Bigger Eggs, as those two areas could work toward improving your farm’s finances.

As for Better Incubators, that’s something you can probably save for last, as its main purpose would be for unlocking subsequent tiers. That would also apply to Vehicle Upgrades, as it’s also primarily there for unlocking new tiers. Upgrade Internal Hatcheries if you’re the type of player who spends long periods of time away from the game, or may likely do so in the coming days. This upgrade would be important in such a situation, as it increases the total number of chickens while you’re not playing the game.

Finally, you will need your gold eggs to perform the upgrades on the Epic tier, and since that’s your premium currency, you need to make a very careful decision when allocating eggs or those Epic tier upgrades. Choose the Epic upgrades that will earn you the most money, make your eggs more valuable, and make your chickens lay eggs faster.

Egg Inc is here and its an eggcellent time to check out our Egg Inc guide for some tips and tricks to help you get your egg farming game up and running. Its egg farming time mother cluckers, don’t yolk it up!

Egg Inc is an interesting game that is partial tapper, and resource management over time. Starting out the game might be a bit confusing but the first thing you want to go is hold down the chicken button until you run out of hatchlings.

Suggested starting Skill trees

The trees can be a bit confusing, so we’ll attempt to clear up the first two tiers to give you an idea of which trees you want to start with each time you begin a farm with a fresh skill tree.

Starting off you want to Focus on  Comfortable Nest or Nutritional Supplements. Both of these skills increase the overall money output from your farm. There is no point to put money in to Better Incubators until you need points to advance to the next skill tree. Excitable Chickens is “ok” if you have the Epic Clucking or Epic Multiplier perks later on.

In tier 2 you will want to focus on Padded Packaging and Bigger Eggs to increase your income. If you didn’t max out Tier 1, the next best option from tier 2 is Hen house or Hatchery Expansion as these will allow you to put more chickens into your buildings. Internal Hatcheries is good if you plan to be away from the game for awhile as it will slowly add chickens while you’re away.

One thing to keep in mind as you go through the other tiers, it requires you to spend points before the trees unlock. This doesn’t mean you have to go through each individual skill tree, it is a collective pool of points spent.

So I typically recommend skipping most of the tier 3 skill tree initially and focusing on maxing out the 1st, 2nd and 4th skill tree, unless you need the points to reach the 5th skill tree. The only thing worth grabbing right away is increase in fleet size to add a truck, and internal hatchery upgrade.

That should give you a good idea of how to use the normal skill trees. In the epic skill tree it’s more of what fits your play style. I am personally a fan of Hold to Hatch which increases how many chickens come out each second you hold the button and the lab upgrade for reduced research rates.

Collecting money and eggs.

Besides the standard method of collecting cash through how large your egg farm is there are a few other ways to rake in a lot of money. First is the additional videos. In most games you don’t see a big benefit from watching the videos, however in Egg Inc you are greatly rewarded for your time.

The second place where you will collect a nice stack of cash or eggs from the random crate that will periodically be dropped . You can get this either by tapping on the box in front of your farm or tapping the icon in the top right corner of the game screen.

You might over look these but tap on drones as you see them fly by. Drones can carry either money or eggs for you, and they are great after you’ve spent all your money when you aren’t pulling in a lot of money from your farm.

General Tips and Tricks

• Upgrade your shipping trucks last and only when you’re close to running out of room.
• Tap the check list to check current missions, these are great for farming eggs.
• Tap the lighting bolt to open the boost menu – Tap the 2x multiplier to increase your money earned for 4 hours.
• Considering buying eggs? Wait until your egg Piggy Bank surpasses The Big Crate. So you can get the same or more eggs for almost half the price.
• Go to the next egg type as soon as possible, you don’t keep your money or skills.
• Try maxing out all the “Reduce” epic skills to make each restart quicker.

Egg, Inc: How to Play Co-Op | Tips and Cheats

Egg, Inc is an incremental idle game about hatching chickens, running your own egg farm, and shipping those eggs off to the stores. But what it’s really about is the age old question: what came first, the chicken or the egg?

Philosophical ideas aside, Egg, Inc is the simulation game to play if you’re really into number crunching and trying to figure out how to make everything efficient.

There are even special levels called contracts that test your efficiency skills, as you’ll need to produce enough of a specific egg within a certain time. These contracts may be tackled alone, but you can call upon the aid of other players to help you out in co-op mode.

In today’s guide, we’ll be going over the process of how to unlock and play Egg, Inc’s co-op mode, as it’s not available from the get-go. Let’s get started with our Egg, Inc tips and cheats guide on how to play co-op!

Complete the Missions

Egg, Inc gently eases you into the game by giving you an ever-evolving list of three missions to work towards. These missions will ask you to perform stuff like expand your farm to hold this many chickens, have a shipping capacity of this many eggs, and so forth.

All of the missions have to deal with expanding your farm and growing, so you’ll probably naturally complete most of the missions. There are a few that you might have to go out of your way to complete.

Try to knock as many of them out as you can, as you’ll be rewarded with golden eggs, the premium currency of the game that lets you purchase epic upgrades that persist between selling farms and activating prestige.

As you complete missions, you will eventually come across a mission that rewards you with a funny looking egg, not the usual golden egg. These special eggs are called soul eggs, and they look like stone eggs with a purple gem in the middle.

Prestige to Collect Soul Eggs

When you complete a soul egg rewarding mission for the first time, you’ll unlock the ability to prestige. The process of prestige will reset your farm back to its original state—your chickens, common research, habitats, vehicles, eggs, and silos will all be reset.

However, in exchange, you will be rewarded with soul eggs. The more developed your farm was, the more soul eggs you’ll receive. Soul eggs can be spent on powerful, permanent upgrades that can greatly increase your farm’s productivity.

Keep working on your farm and earning soul eggs. Once you acquire 250 soul eggs, you’ll be able to play through Contract missions.

How to Start a Co-Op Contract

When starting a contract, you can choose to play it solo, or create or join a co-op. When examining a contract, the game will show you the time allotted to complete the contract, boost token intervals, the maximum amount of players for co-op mode, and the three goals.

Each goal has a colored word next to it which is supposed to give you a rough idea of how difficult the objective will be. “Freebie” is basically super easy, while “Hard” and “Impossible” are pretty self-explanatory.

The game makes this judgement based on the current state of your farm, so if you see these words you better start upgrading your farm right away!

When your contract is underway, simply play the game as usual: focus on upgrading your farm and keep egg production nice and high.

Tips and Tricks for Finishing Contracts

You can use boosts like you can in normal mode, but this requires you to pay up with Boost Tokens, which are given to all players in the co-op periodically. Boosts can help you catch up if you’re falling behind, so make sure to spend them wisely.

Contracts can be started solo, but you can also join a co-op later. Your progress is carried over and the amount of eggs you have laid are added to the co-op’s cumulative total.

Another thing to take note of is that your completion time is set to the co-op’s completion time, which can be taken advantage of. Careful time management can basically extend the amount of time for a contract, so consider this if you’re running out of time!

Say you’ve been working on a contract and you are about to run out of time. You join a co-op that has just recently started, which sets your time to complete to the co-op’s time, plus your eggs are added onto the co-op’s total.

Once you have progressed enough in a contract, you’ll eventually unlock the ability to undergo Elite contracts. Elite contracts have much tougher egg goals and objectives, but the rewards are even better.

Of course, your farm must be ready for high intensity logistics, so be sure you’re ready. Thankfully, though, the game will stop you if you try to join an Elite co-op when you haven’t unlocked it yourself.

If your farm is in tip-top shape, you should eventually move onto Elite contracts. They’re worth the awesome rewards you get for completing them!

Eggs are the basis of Egg, Inc. As your farm grows, you will have the opportunity to sell your farm and restart with eggs worth more Bocks . Currently, there are nineteen main eggs and five contract eggs, but more eggs may be added in the future.

Contract Eggs

Some eggs can only be farmed during a contract .

• Its rate of fill is based on the Order of Magnitude of your Farm Value.
• The order of the gauge colors are Green, Teal, Blue, Purple, Pink, Orange, and then Yellow-Orange for any progress after that.
• If you already have a sufficient Farm Value to upgrade your egg at the moment you start a farm, then the appropriate number of gauges will already be complete. So, for example, if you already have the Farm Value to upgrade to Superfood or Medical Egg when you start an Edible Egg farm, then you will start by seeing the blue gauge partly filled (to represent progress toward being able to upgrade to Rocket Fuel Egg).
• Although there is no egg after the Enlightenment Egg , there is a final gauge after it. However, the completion of this gauge is easiest to see on a Universe Egg farm by observing the teal gauge which eventually appears. Once that final gauge is full, it remains full.

These eggs are not laid by chickens.
