Apart from providing education opportunities at an international caliber as well as a wealth of knowledge and experience, Turkey offers scholarships to international students from all over the world to study in the most prestigious universities in Turkey.

Türkiye Scholarships applications for 2021 will be received in one period, and applications will be open between 10th January- 20th February 2021 for international students from all countries.

Türkiye Scholarships applications are assessed on the basis of academic success , extra-curricular activities and other professional credentials of the candidate. In the evaluation process of the applications, candidates will be evaluated based on their eligibility to the application criteria of the program applied for as well as their academic and social achievements.

Türkiye Scholarships : Turkey Scholarships 2021 is open for all international students with high caliber and outstanding educational background. The deadline to apply for the scholarships is 20 February 2021. The applicants can directly apply online by visiting the official website.

The Turkey Scholarships 2021 is fully funded and covers all the expenses which include financial support, tuition fee, accommodation, and health insurance but also provides university placement and academic, social, and cultural facilities to its awardees at all levels of higher education.

Türkiye Scholarships is government-funded and all international students from all over the world can study in the most prestigious universities of Turkey. The scholarships are open for bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. levels. The Turkish Scholarship also offers short term programs.

Programs and Levels of Study

Programs open for application are: Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs Applications will be open to applicants who wish to study at bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. Other programs such as Research Scholarships, Success Scholarships, and KATİP have  different application periods  and are announced regularly on our website and social media channels.

Application Dates: 10 January – 20 February 2021

Türkiye Scholarships applications for 2021 will be received in one period, and applications will be open between 10th January- 20th February 2021 for international students from all countries.

Eligibility

Basic criteria for applying.

Minimum Academic Criteria:

• Minimum academic achievement for Bachelor’s degree applicants: 70%
• Minimum academic achievement for Master’s and Doctorate degree applicants: 75%
• Minimum academic achievement for Health Science (Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy) applicants: 90%

Age Criteria:

• To be under the age of 21 for Undergraduate programs
• To be under the age of 30 for Master’s programs
• To be under the age of 35 for Doctorate programs

Eligible Groups:

• Citizens of all countries
• Graduates or applicants who are able to graduate at the end of the current academic year (before August 2021)
• Researchers and academicians

Non-Eligible Groups:

• Turkish citizens and those who have lost Turkish citizenship
• Students already registered in Turkish universities at the level of study they are applying for.

• Master’s: 1 year Turkish Language course + 2 years
• PhD: 1 year Turkish Language course + 4 years

Short-Term Programs

• Bachelor’s: 450 TL per month
• Master’s: 600 TL per month
• Ph.D.: 900 TL per month
• The success scholarship program does not cover accommodation and other amenities
• Monthly Stipend: 3,000 TL per month
• Research scholarship does not cover accommodation and other amenities
• Turkish Language Programme for Public Officials and Academicians [KATİP] (8-10 months)

Important Details

Most programs in Turkish universities are instructed in Turkish. However, some departments and universities offer programs in English or other languages. Candidates who wish to study in these programs need to have an internationally recognized language certificate to prove their language proficiency (TOEFL and other equivalent certificates). Most of these programs require international admission test scores such as GRE, GMAT, SAT etc. Candidates can check the language of instruction while selecting the programs in the application system. Undergraduate candidates who possess International qualifications such as SAT or GCSE instead of national exam scores, will need to provide the minimum required qualifications needed for completing secondary school according to these international exams. ​All Türkiye Scholarships awardees who do not possess C1 Level Certificate for Turkish Proficiency (including those who are placed into English or other language taught programs) must attend a 1-year Turkish Preparatory Course and attain the C1 Level Certificate by the end of their academic year.

About Türkiye Burslari Government of Turkey Undergraduate & Postgraduate Scholarships:  Türkiye Scholarships include both scholarship and university placement simultaneously. Applicants will be placed in a university and programme among their preferences specified in the online application form. Candidates can apply to only one scholarship programme following their educational background and academic goals.

Eligibility:  To be eligible for Turkiye scholarship, applicants must;

• be a citizen of a country other than Turkey (Anyone holding or ever held Turkish citizenship before cannot apply)
• not be a registered student in Turkish universities at the level of study they are applying.
• There is also age condition candidates are required to meet:• For applicants applying to Undergraduate Degree: Those who were born no earlier than 01.01.2001, • For applicants applying to Master’s Degree: Those who were born no earlier than 01.01.1992, • For applicants applying to Ph.D Degree: Those who were born no earlier than 01.01.1987,
• Applicants shouldn’t have any health problems barrier to education.
• have at least 75 % cumulative grade point average or diploma grade over their maximum graduation grade or have at least 75 % success in any accepted national or international graduate admissions test.

No Accommodation Charge:

The accommodation of international students at a Turkish University is handled in the best way covered under the Turkey Scholarships funding. The students are made to live in respective universities dormitories and are charge zero fees for that. If the student does not want to live in their dorm room then they are allowed to shift at any of their desired locations but in this case, they need to pay for accommodation.

Free from Tuition fees:

The main focus of the Turkish Scholarship program is to make the students study with their full potential without thinking about the burden of money. Thus, students need not pay any tuition fees. Education is completely free.

Health Expense:

Students get their health expenses covered by public health insurance. Taking care of health is really a very big issue if you are not native to the country. But it is not if you are a scholarship granted student in Turkey. Even if you get caught to cold or get sick, you need not spend a single penny from your pocket. Everything will be taken care of by public health insurance.

Travel Expenses:

The Turkey Scholarship program also fulfills the travel expenses of international students. The students will be getting two free tickets during their studies. One is for their arrival to the country and the other is for their departure from the country after completing their studies. In case the students purchases their tickets on their own then the whole amount will be given back to them.

This Turkish culture and language scholarship program do not include health insurance.

Turkey Government Scholarship (Turkiye Burslari Scholarship) online application process is available for undergrad, master, doctoral degree candidates as well as it is also available for Turkish short course scholarship program candidates.

Turkiye Burslari Scholarships 2021 Eligibility Criteria:

Some of the countries that are allowed for the Turkey Scholarship Program are Germany, Iceland, United States, UAE, Pakistan, etc. There are other countries as well in the list from where the candidates can only apply for the postgraduate program. The eligibility criteria for the Turkey Government Scholarship are listed below:

• The age of the candidate is one of the strict criteria that are taken into consideration.
• If you want to apply for an undergraduate degree then you should not be born before January 1997.
• If you want to apply for the Master’s degree then you should not be born before January 1988.
• Likewise, for Ph.D . one should not be born before January 1983 and for the Research Program, it is January 1973.
• For the application of an undergraduate program , 70% of the marks are mandatory.
• For the application of Masters and PH.D program, 75% of the marks are mandatory.
• Medical School Programs require 90% of the marks.
• If you are a citizen of Turkey or used to be its citizen previously then you cannot apply for the program.
• Students studying in Turkey are not capable of the Scholarship.
• Selected students should show their documents when asked.

Basic Criteria for Applying

Minimum Academic Criteria:

• Minimum academic achievement for Bachelor’s degree applicants: 70%
• Minimum academic achievement for Master’s and Doctorate degree applicants: 75%
• Minimum academic achievement for Health Science (Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy) applicants: 90%

Age Criteria:

• To be under the age of 21 for Undergraduate programs 
• To be under the age of 30 for Master’s programs
• To be under the age of 35 for Doctorate programs
• To be under the age of 45 for Post-Doctoral programs

 Eligible Groups:

• Citizens of all countries
• Graduates or applicants who are able to graduate at the end of the current academic year ( before September 202 1)
• Researchers and academicians

Non-Eligible Groups:

• Turkish citizens and those who have lost Turkish citizenship
• Students already registered in Turkish universities at the level of study they are applying for.

Candidates for Turkey Scholarship are requested to complete all the below-listed documents at the time of the online application. It is the responsibility of the candidates to insert authentic candidature data into the system at the time of the online Turkey Scholarship Application.

Once you make sure that you have all the required documents completed and available for Online Turkey Scholarship Application then move on and begin your online application for Turkey Government Scholarship 2021-2022.

In the next step, candidates will see all the open Turkish Scholarship positions under their ‘Home Page’ screen under the tabs High School, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Ph.D. and Research. Upon clicking any of these tabs, you will see a notification that prompts you as not a suitable candidate for any of these scholarships. It is because the candidate has not filled in the Personal Information, Family information, Contact information, Education information, Language details, Work experience, Academic Qualifications, Social Activities and Turkiye Experience sections of the profile.

To help prospective graduate students find a school that fits their needs, U.S. News released the 2024 rankings for multiple graduate fields.

Depending on the job or field, earning a graduate degree may lead to higher earnings, career advancement and specialized skill development.

But with several types of degrees and hundreds of graduate schools, it can be difficult to narrow down the options. To help prospective graduate students find a school that fits their needs, U.S. News released its 2024 Best Graduate Schools rankings today. They evaluate business, education, fine arts, health, law, library studies, nursing, public affairs, science, and social sciences and humanities graduate programs. Medical school and engineering rankings are not being released at this time.

A notable methodology change includes a new salary indicator based on profession in the business rankings.

Additionally, for the first time in four years, there are new rankings for a blend of doctoral and master's programs in audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, nurse midwifery and speech-language pathology. Graduate programs in nurse anesthesia and social work are also ranked for the first time since 2016 and 2022, respectively. Those and other specialty rankings are based on reputation ratings from scholars at other surveyed schools.

The rankings are one source of information among many that prospective college students can use to inform their college decision. Below is a summary of the top-ranked schools in four major graduate program areas:

Best Law Schools

Best business schools, best nursing schools, best education schools.

Among the top 10 law schools . Yale Law School in Connecticut and California-based  Stanford Law School shared the top spot again. The  University of Chicago Law School in Illinois maintained its No. 3 rank, followed by a four-way tie at No. 4: Duke University School of Law in North Carolina, Harvard Law School in Massachusetts, the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and the University of Virginia School of Law .

Columbia Law School in New York ranked No. 8 again, while there was a three-way tie for No. 9: New York University School of Law , Northwestern University's Pritzker School of Law in Illinois and the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor Law School .

Looking beyond the top 10, multiple law schools moved up in the rankings. William & Mary Law School in Virginia, for instance, jumped nine spots from a tie at No. 45 to a five-way tie at No. 36.

U.S. News also ranked 13 law specialties: business/corporate, clinical training, constitutional, contracts/commercial, criminal, dispute resolution, environmental, health care, intellectual property, international, legal writing, tax and trial advocacy. Meanwhile, in the  part-time law school rankings – which consists of law schools with at least 20 part-time students enrolled in fall 2022 and fall 2023 – the top three stayed the same. The  Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., is once again at the top while D.C.-based  George Washington University Law School , now No. 3, switched places with the  Fordham University School of Law in New York City, which claimed second place.

Previously ranked at No. 3 and No. 6 respectively, the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and Stanford Graduate School of Business took the top spot in this year's full-time MBA program rankings . Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business moved down from their previous places in the top two to tie at No. 3.

While the top 10 mostly consists of the same schools as last year, both the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business joined those ranks this year. UC Berkeley rose from a three-way tie at No. 11 to a three-way tie at No. 7, while UVA moved up four spots from No. 14 to a tie at No. 10.

Farther down the full-time MBA rankings, there were some big changes. For example, Pitt's Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business soared 39 spots from a tie at No. 86 to a tie at No. 47.

Meanwhile, the very top of the part-time MBA rankings looks similar to last year, with the same schools in the top 5: UChicago, UC Berkeley, Northwestern, NYU's Leonard N. Stern School of Business and the Anderson School of Management at the University of California—Los Angeles. But UChicago took the No. 1 spot from UC Berkeley this year.

Moving up from No. 2, Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Maryland tied with Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing in Georgia to claim the top spot in this year's nursing master's program rankings. Duke University School of Nursing in North Carolina climbed up by one to claim the third spot.

Johns Hopkins ranked No. 1, as it did last year, in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program rankings. George Mason University School of Nursing in Virginia – which reported more graduates and resources per faculty – soared from a four-way tie at No. 39 to take the No. 2 spot. Duke tied with the University of Washington School of Nursing to round out the top three.

Duke also ranked No. 1 in all of the ranked nursing master's nursing practice specialties, including administration, family, both acute and primary care adult gerontology, and mental health.

Once again, Teachers College, Columbia University in New York was No. 1 in the graduate education schools rankings. This year, however, it tied with the University of Wisconsin—Madison School of Education , which climbed two spots.

The University of Michigan—Ann Arbor's School of Education dropped from the top position to tie with the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies at No. 3. UCLA was previously tied at No. 7.

U.S. News also ranks nine education specialties, with the College of Education at Michigan State University claiming the top spot in the following categories: curriculum and instruction, educational administration, elementary teacher education, higher education administration and secondary teacher education.
